Everything about Japanese labor is an art form. Even the setting up for the day. The stall owner has a great personality as well. Wishing him good health and success.
It is very nice to see young people working in this kind of street food stall. That means these customs are not getting lost any time soon. PD: Gracias por tener subtitulos en español!!

I prefer old stall vs marketplaces or shops, there is a very special place in my heart (and tummy). Everything is so authentic , call me old school but hey I'm 59 after all
don't you worry, the young generation is also love these kind of places, i'm only 23 and i always prefer these kind of places rather than some modern, fancy restaurant.
@Aragmar Verilian. - The trouble is the 'Fast Food' industry or the "FAT CATS' that run them are only too happy to see them close down, - to them it means less competitors and more money in their pockets. They just simply see them as a nuisance - in their way to getting richer.
I wish I were in Japan!!! I loved oden as a child! There was a little odenya behind the Higashi Nakagami train station and while walking from the station on my way home from school everyday the mamasan would stop me as I passed, so that I might teach her a new word in English. She would stuff me with her yummy oden in exchange. Oh the wonderful times of our childhoods
I really like how this guy keeps this tradition going, thinking it's just for old people. As some say below, it gives him an apice, his feeling of the traditional. so, hey you, owner of the stand, keep going, from oversea we support you.
Everything about this video is good, relaxing, and enjoyable. The food looks great. I’d love to find a stall like this one day. This guy does an amazing job.
This is my favourite video of this channel. There's something uniquely cozy and comforting about this shop. A certain warm and fuzzy aura it gives after nightfall.
When I visit japan, I plan on stopping by as many of these food stalls/booths/carts/ as I can. If japanese street food is anything like the rest of the worlds, you get the best and most unique flavors at these kind of places. It may be years down the line, but I can't wait to travel and eat as much different foods as I can find from around the world. I'm so ready. I gotta work on the language barrier so I'm not a bother.
I just want to say that this video has been amazing for my Japanese learning, my cooking, and my overall sense of well being. Thank you very much for sharing with us!
I love this a beautiful custom and it's so fascinating that hundreds of years after these cooking methods were invented these young chefs are still learning the art awesome! I hope someday to visit Japan I'm a big sushi lover probably my favorite food to me there's nothing more heavenly maybe crab but I love ramen and tonight I just learned about oden 😊🍜
sorry to be a pooper. Ramen and Sushi are pretty modern for Japan. The concept you probably prefer was made last century, and not to far off. Around ww2 era where Japan heavily adopted it. Oden is vastly different. More often than not, its a major culture shock to the pallete. Most westerners might enjoy it as a novelty, but unless you got a strong diverse pallete, your not going to like it due to the strong oden broth flavor. Sushi is a whole other story. Authentic sushi is fermented. Very few westerners enjoy this type of cuisine. Evenmoreso since the fish is sour tasting, and some europeans countries create a variation of their own that is salted. Modern sushi has only existed for a few decades. Heck sushi in Japan was heavily popularized by the west. It was a lesser known cuisine in Japan, until it was highlighted by foreigners that some in Japan ate fish raw and fresh. The reason I am being a pooper is because of this point. If you live in the west, you can easily enjoy Ramen and Sushi. A lot of major cities have establishments for it. Often times they cater towards the local pallete to. So you can easily still enjoy wonderful Japanese cuisine, albeit not entiretly the same. It still comes close. If you want to try Oden, there will be a place to find it locally to.
I know this posted 2 years ago but how in the world you can spread that BS with such confidence. You must be trolling or on something, bro. Japanese didn't know sushi?? What is the modern sushi? Even newer type of sushi(nigiri) has existed for centuries. Westerners made sushi popular in Japan?? I am at a loss for words😂
I hope to visit Japan someday and it's stalls like these that entice me the most. I love the atmosphere and unrushed nature of getting to sip a drink while enjoying from a selection or recommended item.
Once I'm through with a few furniture purchases in my house, I'm starting to save $68 every month for my food trip to Japan. I mean, it's all expensive but you gotta go after your dream on day. I've been living for tomorrows for too long.
When I miss Japan, it is often a food memory that triggers the feeling. I love and miss Japanese cuisine. Sharing a meal makes people like each other or as the feel closer with strong bond. Eating the same food leads to trust and cooperation because they feel closer with the feeling of intimacy among those eating together, share the experience with eating and drinking.
I always said that nothing brings people closer together than Food!! And this stall certainly has a way of gathering locals to come!! I’ve seen videos on those Yatai food stalls but this oden stall is my first and although it has a little bit of an Ole School Vibe this guy definitely knows how to so delicious 😋 dishes!! Great Video and Thanks for Sharing 🫶🏽😻🙏🏽
I lived in China for 7 years recently and used to sit at these stalls for BBQ and hot pot stews all night every night until the sun would come up. I would meet hundreds of people a night, eat and drink with the owners of the stalls and then help them pack up. Some nights we would rack up 50 tall beers between us and i would eat over 100 pieces of it by the time the night was through (in China everything is skewered on a stick you can grab from the pot, then you give your sticks back to the owner to pay your bill). Of all the wild shit i did over those 7 years the intimate and close together nights with random people stopping by and chatting about absolutely bullshit with the owners are still my favorite memories. And of all the things that make me want to go back to China it's just to sit there on a not-so-clean road, pigging out, without a worry in the world, genuine human connection, all under the light of the moon.
2014 osaka near the nagoya road next to the sakura tree... it was cold day during winter season.. have myself some a hiruma ramen bowl , grill eel and a beer.. with warm conversation with old man ... what night .. i miss those old days..
The food looks really good in the first place, I’d eat there every day if I lived there maybe he can come put a place up in Kentucky for me, plus I like that blond hair.💜
wen u hve your own business.... u wil definitely wnt it.... neat and clean... kep up the great work... life's not easy... its always full of ups and downs...jst kep up your great effort... and hve faith and trust in God... Amen
I have always admired such Japanese cafes. They have their own unique atmosphere. And it's really nice to see youngers working there. By the way, thanks for russian subtitles!
J'aime bien ce genre de stand !!! J'aimerai tellement y goûter manger a m'en éclater le ventre 😂😋 bon courage au maître et j'espère que cette vidéo lui soit bénéfique ❤️
Looks so good and like a real chill spot. The customers seemed to be having a good time. Can you please add details of what some of the topping powders are?
I always love the content of your channel! These Ramen 🍜 videos are best ones! Specially old style shops/carts and Hard working owner's & their story's! Quality of content is also improving!! Can you also do old style hotels!
