A friend and I used to scare people with a diagonal driver/rear passenger seat change in a few cars with the cruise set at 40 - 70 mph. LOL Van surfing, drifting, utter lack of care for speed laws and too few deputies to patrol the area, life was definitely more exciting.

No thanks, I take Old Top Gear over 2002-2015 era all day long. As for 2016-2022 era, I started watching it after leaving The Grand Tour S2 and never looked back.

It was a DOG, USELESS in real off-road situations, and not one good Engine. It was soon dropped!! The REAL Cherokee (square headlights and all) is STILL a proper Jeep. It's too bad they sent our friends across the Pond, THAT POS...
That POS didn't fool us over here. It sold in single figures and was considered with the same suspicion as a Kia or Daewoo at the time. Anyone buying spending £25k+ on a Grand Cherokee and Voyager were considered brave and / or foolish too.

I'm not sure what they're trying to sell you guys, but the "real" Jeep Cherokee sold here in the Colonies, is said to be the only thing that will survive a Nuclear Holocaust, along with the Cockroaches!! 😜 Those are simple and smart Off Roaders, about as spartan as the Classic Jeep CJ, from Willys heritage. I'm not afraid to admit that our attempts at challenging Land Rover in the Luxury SUV Market, has only produced OVERWEIGHT, soft, overly complex electronics, over optioned GAS HOGS!! But WAIT until next year, when Ford reintroduces the Classic Bronco!! It's already got Jeep and Dodge, quivering in their Boots. Definitely not the same ol SHITE!
He was way more popular and very well remembered. Barely anyone watches this top gear even thought it was only a year early, it’s simply because 2002 top gear was more entertaining to the average viewer. Consumer advice gets thrown out the window when most people prefer comedy and super cars
