If I get a whoof of you doing something foul...I mean I might have to go tell Marlo you the one to put me up on that card game!"Omar was deviant however if Joe wasn't afraid of Marlo he would've realized Omar was bluffing. He couldn't get to Marlo w/o being executed thus Omar telling "Si esta" I trust his fear.
@@rashadcampbell8233 he did that bc he followed slim Charles and knew slim met with Marlo so that how word got back to Marlo bc slim met with Chris who told Marlo that's why joe died
Omar interrupted probably the most funny and intellectually stimulating conversation lmao...I was waiting to see where Cheese was trying to take us with his theory on midgets 😂😂😂
Wouldn’t matter where you got hit on your body.. .50AE is the second biggest and fastest pistol cartridge in existence- not only could it remove a piece of you , yes it could hit anything behind you as well … gotta love the Desert Eagle 😅
I love how Slim has enough tact to read to room and excuse himself "to see to Tremaine" and let Joe and Cheese have a family discussion. Being a good second is as much about knowing when to make yourself scarce as it is being right there when the boss needs you.
Omar was polite.. spoke in the 3rd person... good vocabulary... didn't curse, AND took his grandmother to church every Sunday. One of the greatest characters created in television.
You have to admire the "clock" metaphor in this entire scene. The clock ran out of time (Prop joe's life). Omar giving him the chance to fix the clock ( living on borrowed time). Omar asking for a receipt(a document stating I hold your life in my hands).
Gbolahan Oyekenu 6 years later, your description of the symbolism is outstanding. Thank you for teaching me something today. The Wire is one of the best filmed stories ever. Omar is one of the best characters in television ever
Renaldo seemed to be the most competent of Omar's partners in the show. He followed orders, didn't let his guard down, he didn't fire wildly like Dante, and he wasn't headstrong like Brandon.
Brandon was the cutest tho'...and I get the feeling that Omar genuinely loved him. After his death, Omar learned that in order to be the king you gotta' be strictly business with the queen.
Slim Charles is just a spectator of everyone's BS. He just wants to work and he has to witness, be an accomplice, and be a victim of the drama. S/Out Slim Charles for standing tall and being solid!
Frank Peter but the coop didn't like cheese and everyone knew cheese had something to do with his uncle's death cuz as soon as he said I got 900k saved up they knew he killed his own uncle and slim peeled his cap and I must admit Method Man is a hell of an actor in this series because everyone hated his ass you almost forgot he is fucking Method Man
" and just at this moment, I manage to crawl out my own damn grave, ain't no way I'm going back in " ........ Then he decided it was a good idea to treat Marlo like a son 😀
@@Metro32 that's the difference between success. The question is, how much is enough? If you say it's never enough, the game is over. You not making it out. But if you see the writing on the wall ( it always presents itself) it's time to go. Live comfortable , turn into an L7 and raise the kids. You seen this story over and over again. If the sharks don't eat you, the feds will.
@@ryansaunders65 How do you define success? For some 200k is enough others want millions , once you get a taste of that fast money the vast majority fall into the i want millions bracket. The game has no winners only players, you either end up dead or in jail an if you make it out how much have you sacrifced? Only then you realise the game is designed to make you lose.
I love how Prop Joe legitimately thought Omar bust through the door with guns out just to get a clock fixed. He was so sincere with his "What seems to be the problem?" haha
TerraRyzinglives wasn’t Omar’s clock the one joe was working on when Old Face Andre was trying to beg for a ride outta town?? I can’t remember if this scene was before or after Dre’s death.
@TerraRyzinglives: Joe's move to put Omar on Marlo at the card game would eventually come back to him. Marlo tried to have Omar killed, which prompts Omar to steal the Co-Op's shipment. Remember that Marlo wanted to kill Cheese because he was in charge of the shipment. To pacify him, Joe introduces Marlo to Vondas, which sparks his curiosity about the Greeks. This eventually leads to Marlo ordering Chris to kill Joe so he can take over the Co-Op in Season 5. All the pieces matter......
Omar - 1:35 "Now, see joe, I need you to resist your natural inclination to do anything twisted up in this here play." Most funniest line ever, prop joe really is devious. that's why he's the proposition
The sound editing in this show is so good. Slim Charles yelling at the door guard in the background is hilarious. "The fuck is you doing out here" lmao
ucantknockthehustle: Over the years, I think Prop Joe kept hearing stories about how Omar went up against some of the toughest kingpins in Baltimore. Joe himself started to fear what Omar was capable of, so he tried to be on neutral ground with him and appear to be an ally. Omar's legend grew after his battles with the Barksdale organization that hoppers were just dropping G-Packs out the window for him, LOL! I wish they would make a prequel comic book or a tv show about Omar's life, that would be epic.
Joe knew that Cheeze was wrong in the head.Yet he shared all his business info when he was around.Cheeze should have been slingin on the corner, nothing else.Joe helped him because he was family. And Joe paid the price for it.
@gsdblack1 Prop Joe wanted to bring Marlo into the Co-op, but Marlo refused since he felt no one would mess with him, so the co-op would be of no use or help to him. As a result, Prop Joe put Omar on the poker game with the idea that once Marlo got robbed he would then decide that he could use the help of the co-op and would join them, which is exactly what happened.
Omar is smart as hell. He makes sure that Joe carries out the plan by scaring him with Marlo and by giving him the clock so that he can still keep his front. Omar returns for the clock after he steals the drugs and fixes the clock. Made him keep his word in both ways. Brilliant.
I thought I'd be alone in saying Slim Charles was one of my fav characters but I guess everyone loved him. He was a great combo of street smarts and strength
Prop Joe was that big ol clock. He was running out of time and needed some fixing immediatly because he was more useful alive and ticking telling Omar what time it is anytime it was required.
"I'll see to Tremaine..." I swear Slim was just always so aware of everything. I feel like his head was in the game. While Cheese and Prop don't give two shits that their "security" just dropped the ball, Slim takes it upon himself to tend to the doorman. He was one guy who never dropped the ball.
Among a bunch of other low key great stuff, the one time we see him refusing a direct order is when he stands up to Stringer when he thinks he can go and have Clay Davis' ass: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WkVohPC_YpU.html
Love how this show has turned your average RU-vid commentator into a boss of his or her local criminal enterprise and Machiavellian level politicians... ;)
MobKnowledge What's impractical with a .50 cal? You remember when Omar robbed Old Face Andre? The only reason he could rob him is because the gun was powerful enough to breakthrough the bulletproof shield.
Keir Bo They're powerful but they're heavy as fuck and they recoil like a bitch. You might get off one good shot, but you have to be Superman to handle one effectively.
True. Depends what you need it for, if you ain't gotta shot through a dense material there's no need for one. Like snoop says "I seen tiny ass 22 round nose drop a nigga plenty of days"
"Cmon now Joe, you can do better than that." The delivery of this line, you can hear his pain, rage and sadness in this single quote. How this show didn't win every award is beyond me.
Micheal K Williams may you R.I.P you were such a legend as an actor! And as a person! You will be dearly missed ❤️💔 Omar Little from the wire !! Omar coming yo!! " *It's all in the game yo* " *a man gots to have a code* " *money ain't got no owners, only spenders Micheal K Williams may you R.I.P you were such a legend as an actor! And as a person! You will be dearly missed ❤️💔 only spenders* " -Omar little
Prop Joe: You going to take out Marlo Stanfield? Omar: No no(What..by making him another kingpin legend who died by a legendary stick up man...break my code) Omar: ...But I have a real powerful urge to take everything he own (his name, his reputation on the street, step....by step.)
"fuck is you doin yo?"...*kicks ol boy*....🤣 Yo, Slim Charles disciplinin dude who got caught slippin at the end of the scene is hilarious! Icing onna cake type shit!
Prop Joe: 🗣 So what seems to be the problem? Omar: (While pulling out his 4/5) 🗣Ran outta TIME!!! Man if the characters on this show don't have one of the best "One Line Quotables" with double meaning to go along with them; then I'll be searching hard for the show that does.
