@AmberJohnson I found the fine glitter on hobby lobby website for the true lavendar, but not the chunky. Can you maybe find it online and provide a link? Thank you for sharing!
i have always taped at the top, but noticing more cups go to the top with glitter and epoxy. How do you keep epoxy from going into the cup. Do you do the rim with epoxy at all?
Kim's Gaede great question! So I go all the way to the rim and when I get to the rim I kinda smooth just a tiny bit over the rim. This makes sure the epoxy stays and doesn’t move away from the rim. When you apply more epoxy to the cup it goes where the epoxy is already at. So if you don’t get enough by the rim it will pull away. Once in awhile a tiny bit will get in the cup, but I use acetone to get it out and wash the cup really good. Hope that helps! Happy crafting!!
Kelly Richardson most people deal with epoxy after they seal the glitter. I wouldn’t put my mouth on the sealed part, everyone is using straws to drink from.
shanae jones if you lookup tumbler or cup tuners. People make them. Some use different ways to hold the cups. Like small footballs. But each person is different as to what they would like to use.
Elise Bowman you can use mod podge. Make sure it’s dishwasher safe. Although I would make sure to hand wash so it last longer. I like epoxy because it seals better and it’s smooth. With mod podge you will still feel the glitter.
mimi b there are no set colors really to start out with. It’s really what you like or want to start with. So many to pick from I know, but once you start playing around you will find what works for you.
Rita Campos ☺️ great question! As for anyone getting into the cup making business it can become somewhat expensive. Just remember you have to put money into a business to make money. So with that here are the basic items you will need. Stainless steal tumblers, a turner for your cups, epoxy. Depending on if you want to do with the cups, there is glitter to buy, waterslide paper, and fabric. Gloves, paint brushes to brush the epoxy on the cups and acetone to keep your brushes in to remove the epoxy. That way you can reuse them. The more you get into it the more you find items you need. It’s different for everyone. Also if you have Facebook I would suggest finding cup making pages to follow to help you along the way. Hope this helps and happy crafting. ☺️
