I absolutely loved it for quite awhile and then it started to feel like it was drying my hair out., Hope you end up lasting longer with it.

@@kmacc974 Which shampoo & conditioner combo did you use? I found the moisturing shampoo &conditioner way too heavy and was going to try the pure harmony line.

@@kmacc974 I'm using the pure Harmony line because I have fair hair but maybe you need the hydrating or the colour line. Your hair does go through a detox when you start using innersense for as long as a few months, it feels and looks dry but it's just your hair getting used to using such pure, concentrated products. Have you tried using the detox mask along with the scalp scrub? I'm doing the trust your innersense detox challenge for the month of January, I just started early lol. I've used ICV for a few months but only started using everything else the last few weeks. So far so good though my hair adores it. The scalp scrub is incredible!!!

@@eme8237 im using the pure Harmony line as I have fine, medium density, medium porosity hair. My hair adores it so far. My hairdresser uses the colour line and that's nice too I've stayed clear of the hydrating as I feel it would be way too heavy I only use Detox mask Scalp scrub Pure Harmony Hair Bath Pure inspiration conditioner Sweet spirit leave in I create lift I create volume I create finish I've still to try I Create hold and the whipped cream texturiser. They're in my basket though 😅😅. I would try the pure Harmony line if the hydratings too heavy and maybe keep the hydrating as a treatment

Denamo I'm having trouble with my hair not having curl definition and coming out stringy after diffusing. I don't know if it needs protein mask or frankly what it needs. Have you used a Maui mask and if so did you like the results?

@@jessiestephens3943 I have not used a Maui masque. I also don't know if my hair needs protein or moisture. I did use a Shea Moisture masque recently. I used very little and only let it stay on about 10 minutes since I have fine hair and didn't want it to weigh down my hair. I did like the results. I'm now experimenting with applying products to soaking wet hair followed by plopping vs plopping after washing and then applying styling products. I do apply a leave in conditioner to soaking wet hair prior to plopping regardless of which method I use. I don't think my hair ever looks the same way twice in a row. 🙂

I've seen a lot of people recommend LA Looks gel, very inexpensive. I don't know if it's available in Canada though. If it's any consolation Innersense products last well, you don't need much each application. I use Innersense styling products nearly everyday, I started using them about 4 months ago and I'm still using the first full size bottles I bought.

Hi, lady with sensitive scalp here speaking from experience. The first reason you I don't recommend that you use your nails, is because of surface area. Compare how much more of your scalp you can touch with the wide pads of your fingers, versus thin nails. Fingers can also spread the shampoo better too. Fingers are really more than enough to use, the flakes and dirt on your scalp can effectively be removed by them, the act of scrubbing is exfoliating for your scalp and you don't need to remove ALL the dead skin layers, your skin still needs them for protection and your scalp is no exception. The second reason you shouldn't use your nails is simply because you are scratching your skin. Although you may feel you are getting rid of oil and dirt better as you say, you are potentially making many tiny injuries on your skin and this could make it irritated (making your scalp even MORE itchy/oily) or worse, bleed (allowing dirt and germs to get inside)! Granted, the skin on our scalp is well equipped to handle a lot of pressure but being gentle is really the best. Some people use scrubs or even brushes to help get dirt/flakes off the scalp, but the scrub particles should be small (if not, like coarse sea salt for example, be VERY GENTLE and work in small sections at a time) and the teeth of brushes are often rounded/padded/smoothed down to avoid scratching the scalp. If you like the feeling of nails on your scalp I recommend one of those scalp brushes with soft silicone padded spikes, gives that stimulation without the pain. Personally, if my scalp doesn't feel that clean after shampoo, I have no problem using shampoo again. Sometimes you might have a lot of oil/buildup/dirt that is preventing shampoo (especially if it's sulfate free) from getting it all off, and a double cleanse helps (I do not recommend it if you're using a clarifying shampoo though or a shampoo with REALLY strong cleansers that give your hair a 'squeaky clean' feeling from the first wash). Sorry I rambled a lot, but I hope it made sense!
