Small bonus doesn't seem too bad but apparently it's just unpickable. Grave fight is rough and sometimes straight up unwinnable, but the real reason that I've personally never picked it is because I don't want to buff the wisps in the inevitable fight. Even without small bonus, I've found that some teams can kill inevitable fine but they can't deal with the 10,000 bones in reserve, and then sometimes when I focus the wisps to prevent that I just die to inevitable instead. Even if I would pick the strat based on my team, I still sometimes lost without really knowing what I did wrong. It's happened a lot less recently, so maybe I just used to be bad at the fight, although I don't actually know what I've done differently to increase my winrate against him (a lot of my losses against him must have been before I reset stats, as of rn my winrate from lowest to highest is hexia, inevitable, dragon, and the hand, it shocks me that I've only lost 1 fight to the hand so far he's definitely not the easiest boss lol).

I think you should've taken burst deplete in that first run. Small bonus synergized very well with monster shield 3 like you said, and depleted burst was comparatively far more manageable with three characters adding a spell

Stop picking Priestess, she is just bad Warden, 1 heal/managain is worthless unless you have vine or way to use it other than burst. Red is not a role you can click defensive unit in Magical where you have negative dmg. Housecat should had never wore the hat and instead done 3 or 1 dmg cleave every turn. You can't have burst as main dps unless you have seer or infinite chalice Evoker got lot worse since summons always go under graves instead of randomly
