A lack of straightness in horses is a major cause of premature physical breakdown and limits the scope of a horse's work.
Crookedness is sometimes caused by physical limitations of the horse and the rider, but often caused by a our inability to change a horse's thought.
Most training is directed at addressing a horse's physical weaknesses and a rider's use of their body and/or aids. Very few trainers consider how big a role a horse's lack of focus and direct-ability of their thought plays in a lack of straightness.
In this video I give one example from a clinic of a straightness problem and how I go about helping improve the horse's straightness.
I teach Good Horsemanship around the world helping people to understand the emotional and mental component of how horses operate to achieve both a willing partnership and bond and to maximize the performance potential of a horse.
