I don't think Saturn is getting defeated here. Luffy looks like he's on top but he loses the gear 5th form quickly, and he's already been gassed once. Unless he gets a lot of help, this is more of a "run away" encounter.

If Saturn doesnt get killed here, i bet he is getting executed by the other Gorosei or Imu for failing so hard

It seems to also be a theme that every time the world government does something to try to cover up its mistakes, or deal with what they assume to be a problem, they end up making things worse. Their attempts to kill Ace before he was born backfired, blowing up the ship leaving Ohara caused Aokiji to allow Nico Robin to escape, them covering up the effects of Amber Lead essentially created Law the pirate, etc. They really should change their tactics, the ones they use have a tendency to backfire on them. Not to mention in each situation they end up killing a bunch of people who shouldn't have had to die. They don't just have skeletons in their closet, they have entire graveyards in there. The amount of dirty laundry they have seems to be more than the amount of dirty laundry Laurel and Hardy had to wash in The Flying Deuces.

@@jamesvach6698 Exactly even if Vegapunk does'nt know exact details on the void century. There's still oh so much he can air out for everyone to hear. I think the one I most want is for him to reveal that the goverment condone's slavery and that the world nobles and up all partake in it without a second thought. I've been waiting so much for the day the Straw Hats are finally strong enough to beat an Admrial, because it'll mean the Celestial dragons have no protection anymore. However now they might just be about to lose that protection right here and now.

Trying to assassinate Vegapunk was ridiculous. Off course, the SSG is going to turn on them and off course Vegapunk would rebel. They are depending on him to provide power that could replace the warlords, off course that won't be able to recieve any more weapons or Pacifistas. This loss is more detrimental to the WG than what happened after Paramount War.

@@muhammadfaisal5Y5 Indeed, even Lucci who joined the world government so he could legally be allowed to kill people stated that the world government killing off the man who is essentially their most useful asset doesn't make much sense. Still, it should be considered that the Elder Stars have never exactly been accused of being people who think out their decision as much as they probably should. From the start it was established that they wanted to keep certain parts of Egghead intact and yet the elder star leading this operation was the one who gave the order to start the buster call. He is essentially invoking the worst case scenario simply because he was angry about how things were going.

@@Cloud-dt6xb I get the feeling that people know full well that slavery exists, it is just something that they prefer not to think about especially since technically it has been illegal in the One Piece world for over two centuries at this point in the story. Of course, how widespread it is and how cruel it is probably isn't known to the public except those who have relatives who have suffered it or who have survived it themselves. I will say that there are probably a lot of things that we haven't even seen or heard about that Vegapunk can likely reveal to the world and I look forward to seeing the reactions. I do agree that I have been looking forward to the day when the Strawhats can beat an admiral both for the reason you state and because the admirals are considered the world government's strongest weapon. If they cannot stop the Strawhats then there is little that can be done to stop them. This will also cause them to gain more support from those who would have been afraid of being attacked by an admiral and would seek to support someone who can defeat them. Not to mention seeing the Elder Stars wet their pants would be enjoyable in and of itself.

No, what struck Cobra was an arrow like tail. While the attack Saturn uses is something like a pointy thing... And Saturn wasn't transformed when Cobra was attacked. Since the Gorosei only transformed after Sabo attacked them

@@andrejosue98 a tail from...? None of them had tails in base human form, so whether it's a leg or a tail, one of them had to at least partially transform to use it. It also came from Cobra's left and Saturn was one of the 3 standing on that side. The shape isn't a perfect match but neither is the rest of Saturn's silhouette from that chapter.
