In this video we take a look at the brand new Onkyo TX-NR626 2013 AV receiver, yours for £500.

Price: £500
The TX-NR626 uses the Three-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry for the front left, centre and right channels, claims a maximum output of 160W all round, and has six HDMI inputs and two outputs.
It loses the THX Select 2 certification of the TX-NR727, and also the MHL input on the front panel, but retains the 4K passthrough and upscaling of the more expensive model, along with the networking and Audyssey features.

had the 609 .... sold it got the pioneer sc-lx81 .....1 week after back to onkyo !!! onkyo best sound !!

To Tang Clan: I believe you need to change the audio stream from with in the XBox. In HDMI settings change audio stream to go through the HDMI cable then you won't need too use a separate audio out cable. I have my Xbox setup this way with a toslink cable to my receiver because it doesn't have HDMI out inputs it's an older marantz I've had almost 10 years. I'm about too my retire it for something more up to date. Hope this helps.... Good luck!

Bought this reconditioned with 12m warranty for a £200. Quid. Better than the tx-sr 507 it replaced, enough power in terms of what's to blow a pair of stand mounts,. It's still not good as a stereo intergrated amp at powering big speakers such cerwin vega,, but for movies which is all I want it for its good, internet radio , Bluetooth , cd, tuner,. PC, go out to zone 2, which suits me.. It ain't bad, perhaps not for 500' but for 200' yeah it's cool.

Hi people, I bought this receiver about a week ago upgrading from a Yamaha RXV567 and well, it doesn't come without its quirks to say the least. Maybe I'm just not used to Onkyo AV receivers. Anyway, does anyone know to change the audio input whilst still remaining on the same video input? For example, using my Xbox on an HDMI input but using an analogue audio connection for connecting 3.5mm jacked devices? Or even HDMI + Bluetooth? The Yamaha can do this easily, but I can't work it out on this.

Anyone know for what is the input hdmi in 6 ? Because for me passthrough not work without turning on the receiver. First I need to enable the receiver and turn it off later all works as it should.

i just got this reciever my question is to anybody when i just want to hear the sound coming from my 55 inch hatachi plasma t.v. and not from the reciever i cant seem to do that i tried muting but that just shuts the sound off completley ! PLEASE ADVISE
