The Hebrew letter in the first puzzle isn't "Qof," that's a letter earlier in the Hebrew Alphabet. The letter shown sounds like "roof," but beginning with a "K." This show deserves this level of pedantry.
As someone who is Jewish and went to Hebrew school when I learned the alphabet we spelled that letter " kaf ". Qoph is archaic. It would most likely be Aramaic which is, technically, a parent language of Hebrew.
@meaning1 - She gave the University team a second chance at 8:39, and they actually get it right (their first answer was wrong - those sounds were recorded on satellites, they were not broadcast) so, if anything, the Challengers benefited more from it.
I love the contrast between Victoria sighing over Alex here and her pretty much throwing the test to make an elaborate proposal to Alex Horne in Taskmaster because she's just *that* in love with her husband. Like you can tell this was scripted (I say scripted because I think they were already dating at this point) *before* she married David Mitchell XD
Imagine if a male presenter had been flirting like that with a female student 18 years his junior, making her visibly uncomfortable. Imagine the outrage.
Haaaaa the bit where Vicki is pretending to flirt with Alex is so effing funny! He so doesnt know what is happening! You just know he will be a virgin until he is so rich ans sucsessful he can just buy a wife :P Bless...
