Besides Bowser's car is actually pretty cool (his actual car from super Mario 3D world, (then again a floating car that can spit fire is pretty cool (if a little ugly looking)))
That last level was ultra flawed. The shells would only spawn when you are near enough, yet the springs didn't have much of a constraint. Which means that whether the setup was doing his purpose completely depended on how you took the jumps : what height, what trajectory, what momentum, and all those variables kept adding with each jump, leading in a level that only the level creator could clear, or almost. WTF.
he kept trying to play it safe by high jumping to maneuvre/slowing down/wiggling in the air to try and adjust the trajectory, but the level was designed to be played a certain way that the kaizo blocks would never had activate at all if you moved forward with proper timing. usually trying to wiggle in the air makes it easier but with a level that requires exact timing it breaks how the shells behaves and they aren't where they need to be (coins)
I think the level had a good concept, but its execution seemed flawed. Some tweaking of the level would possibly make it better (maybe having the shells more on a track system, eliminating the pixel perfect spawning, etc) It could have been worse, it could have been midair shell jumps on top of it.
Yeah, the whole ending was bullshit, especially the very last jump. However, I'd still say the stage felt enjoyable overall. Most jumps were fair and there was no random jank.
Love the vids man! Nice to see ya here. Plus I 100% agree with you ryukahr is probably one of my favourite youtubers. I think I watched all of his videos that ever came out lol.
That J-Bizzle stage was actually good. It didn't have a bunch of nonsense going on, no sound-effect spam, more than adequate powerups, and the run included one of the most epic fails of all time. 10/10. Shella Pain is a timeless classic as well. Two great levels in one run!
Shells behaved badly but it's not the worst level. Remember the giant spinys that kept raining down in no particular pattern? Wish I saw you beat that one. Great vid though ty Ryu!
That spiny level was garbage. Flawed concept and execution. Too random and meant for players to fail. He was right at the end of the level when he died and never made it back. Wasn't worth ever trying again.
Matthew Mayton yeah but beating the impossible is fun to watch. Even more so if it's designed like unbeatable garbage. It's an F U to the creator when you dunk on their trash.
Lol, I love this channel, I just found it a couple weeks ago and now I'm addicted to this channel!!! Your mario maker videos are great! Keep up the good work man :D
Dude your videos are so nice to watch, and the fact that you never get angry or frustrated makes you the best mario gamer I've ever seen... thank you for being the reason I want to buy a Nintendo Switch... Greetings from Colombia
@@peppinoandweskerfriendsfor3450 I understand that. But (to be fair I should have said personally) personally idk who she is and this video was not a good.... First impression, if u will.
demonic seance Ok, familiar with Wario Ware? So that’s Ashley, basically she is this little witch girl who is super emo and not much else. For whatever reason, I get cartoonishly angry whenever someone wants her in smash (though to be fair, most of them just want their loli waifu in smash)
Ryu love your videos man, I believe I've watched every one of your Mario Maker videos and live streams over this past year. Keep the awesome content coming!
10:32 this level is how difficult all platformers are for me lol. 18:53 me thinking this level would be so much better if you needed to grab a shell-met to reach the end XD
You're starting to look like a third entry character for a jrpg. That kind of guy that looks badass and you think is bad at the beginning, but then reveals himself as chill and reliable dude. Keep up the awesome content!
You kind of look like Mario with your red cap. Just with beard and a longer face, different eye color and physic. Well, you kind of don`t look like, Mario. I take it back.
I'm earlyyyyy ,worth waiting for ,idk your schedule but surprising me with a video feels so good xD Ending my day with an awesome video , i can sleep with a smile.
Kilian Rubner Unfair in Super Expert? Are you serious? Super Expert is MEANT to be extremely hard. That's why it's called Super Expert. In fact, Nintendo has implied that the whole point of Super Expert is for it to be a tribute to Kaizo ROM hacks and Pit ROM hacks. If anything, it's much more respectable to have Kaizo in Super Expert than having any other kind of level. The exception maybe is pre-Kaizo precision platforming. Those are about the only things acceptable in Super Expert. Everything else that exists that doesn't fall in the above categories can be summarized as hot garbage and troll levels. Now, most troll levels (I didn't say *all,* I said *most*) are poorly designed, and hot garbage is... well, garbage. And so, it shouldn't exist. But the point is that these Kaizo levels aren't even the hardest of Super Expert, nor are the worst, yet people seem somehow okay with those other levels and not these. It makes me question the Super Mario Maker community at large (though I always have questioned it).
Stomping Peak Well, the last one is exactly 3 at best, given that the clear rate was 1 out of a lot of people before Ryukahr beat it, not including the developer.
Mr. JelloSalad It's actually not janky, technically. The jumps are intentionally required to be pixel-perfect, the creator just didn't communicate this effectively, partly because of his bad coin placement.
