I honestly think that Ad30 is one of the most underrated amps. It has unlimited variations within it's range and so reactive to the guitar and amps. True chameleon while totally recognisable. With a right guitar and pushing of front end you can play even modern metal. It would be a bit undergained, but perfectly sharp and tidy, whilst oozing that valve grain.

I’m a metalhead through and through but man I love this amp so much. One of my favorite things is the chimey harmonic frequencies at moderate gain levels when you let a chord ring with the master pretty loud. As the chord settles and fades the harmonics shimmer beautifully, not many amps will do that the way this one will. It also really nails late 70s or early 80s metal tones with an overdrive.

Why hello Short Haired Colin, having played through both amps at various points in my life, both the AD30 and RV53 are incredible. Personally I’m drawn to the Rockerverb more but the AD30’s “clean" channel might be among the best tones I’ve ever heard.

Many people here in the comment section are asking where colin has gone and who is this guy? I would like to tell you that this is Niloc . He live in parallel universe! He asked Colin to take his place in parallel universe because people in parallel universe wanted to have some knowledge regarding guitar, pedals,amps etc..but they were too afraid to ask! So Colin has gone there for few months. He will be back soon!

Buckcherry have always been Rockerverbs. Kevin has anyway. He did use a AD30 combo in Orson though. Stevie has been a Carol Ann and Marshall guy. Although, he has swapped the Silver Jubilee for a Rockerverb MK3 about a year ago.
