I sold my 2008 Ignition Orange G8 GT with a hurt motor out of frustration a little over 2 years ago. The guy that bought it contacted me about a month ago and asked me if I wanted to buy it back. So here in a few months, I'm taking back delivery of my 08 Orange G8. I'm super excited and have regretted selling it since he was driving away with it. Maybe, one day, you'll have an opportunity to buy it back

I've had my g8 since 17' and let my Dad have it for a few years to get around. Me and him always got a lot of hate for the 6cyl lol. He died earlier this year and ended up getting it back. Its my daily now Ive always had plans for making it a v8. I have quite a few questions on how you did you v8 build? Cost? Modifications? Problems? Thanks in advance! Awesome video brother.

So you just supercharger the V6 or swap the engine to the V8?

I'm doing a swap with my son now. When you did oreo, did you just program the v6 vin into the v8 ecu to get all the modules to talk? Also, I'm under the impression that you just need to disconnect the v6 trans controller and nothing more when installing the 4l80e. Any input there? Thank you.

The G8 is a great machine! Mine only puts down 715 hp at the rear wheels! I bought the G8 GT new in 2009! Thanks for the video!

Hi Austin, my 6.0 liter V8, has a Magnuson 2300 Supercharger, Stage 3 Cam, Bosch 1050 injectors with dual fuel pumps, 3 inch long tube headers, Rotofab Cold Air Intake, Stainless Works 3 inch exhaust with X-Pipe, Complete Fuel System redone to handle E85 with Methanol Injection. All intake ports and throttle body are machine polished. It was Dyno Tuned using HP Tuners. I had stiffer shocks, sway bars and cradle bushings installed to handle the power. Mine is painted white. It is a fun car to drive and hasn't given me any problems. I change the oil every 3000 miles and use a good 0W-40 Motor Oil and Motor Kote.

It think he means horse power. You did a dyno on the V6 and got 242hp to the wheels. He’s under the impression that because the car was rated at 256hp, you made yours slower. Don’t think he understands that realistically they only had about 210hp to the wheels from factory, if that.
