I just picked one up in march and man im glad i did its a super rare car and takes mods very well. Im still a dodge fan so i have mu charger its nice to switch it around. I plan on modding mine i want about 600whp
@Jvion Smith it's @tevonski Not too many to be honest. Most have been cammed so the DOD will be deleted. Just make sure that the crank Balancer isn't wobbling when you purchase it and send it!
@@TevonMaples i'm looking into buying one and went to check it out the other day. it has 130k mikes but the balancer is wobbling. Is it fixable? Has that caused internal issues?
Tevon, that's a very nice machine! I bought my G8 GT new in 2009 since it was the last high performance Pontiac. My setup is very similar to yours. I run a Magnuson 2300 Supercharger with 10 pounds of boost. I had the DOD fuel management removed when they installed a new high performance cam. I also run E85 through Bosch Injector Dynamics 1050 fuel injectors and use dual fuel pumps. I had the entire fuel system redone to handle the corrosion of the ethanol. I had new suspension parts installed, including cradle bushings. The car was then dyno tuned. It has 715 HP at the wheels. Unfortunately I run stock Michelin Pilots all around and this limits take offs! I have a single piece carbon fiber drive shaft, which eliminates the carrier bearing, which is a weak link in the stock drive train. I still run the stock 2.92 rear end, but with a 4.12 first gear, it still launches like hell. The car is a daily driver. I have had the opportunity to humble a Dodge Hellcat! I wish you the best and enjoy that G8!
Poor Americans we didn't finish the VE Commodore model until 2013 You could of bought 2013 Chevy SS as is same car except the Chevy had extras more like the Commodore whereas the Pontiac came with less features as a Australian Commodore of same model. I own the Commodore ute version of these
lol funny seeing Americans act out the last of the Pontiacs as a big deal. not even made in America. Australia kept making this model of Commodore until 2013 before going to the 2013 model that was sold in America as Chevy SS Sedans. I own 2011 Holden Commodore SS ute . ute version of this car.
Just did an LSA on a built 408 for my G8. Barely about 600 miles on the new build. I wish glanzer made more tanks rn my temps stay normal in this weather but they could be cooler with a tank. And definitely need it before next summer here in Texas. What’s the power you’re making?
Where in IL are ya from? I’m originally from Rockford but live in Colorado now lol. Nice G8 build! I hope to LSA mine in the future too, good shit man 🙌🏽
