Don't make this booking mistake, this was our biggest travel error yet. In this vlog we're trying to get to our next country of Croatia but it's not the smoothest travel day. This is a crazy 19 hours of overnight travel, sleeping in an airport, screwing up our flight booking, losing stuff and being severely sleep deprived. Have fun watching from the comfort of your home.
Stay tuned for more upcoming videos, we post twice a week, every Sunday and Wednesday.
Thanks for watching! 😄

Love your adventures guys! Its all about smiling through the mishapes lol if you’re still there I totally recommend Bellevue Beach which is like 20 minute walk from Old Town. Stunning beach inlet with an awesome cave and cliff jumping!

Thanks so much Zabdiel :) That is exactly the right mindset, when things get a little hectic, we try to remember the bigger picture and smile through the confusion (which seems to happen often) haha Thank you so much for the travel advice as well!! :)

Re: “There’s no Devon O’Halloran” - There SHOULD be ! (JR ❤️ Devon!) Glad everything worked out on this leg of the trip. Should I send another vintage Montreal Jazz Fest t-shirt for Keith?

waiting and get bored in a city, only to not stay in an airport is not clever. better go to for a walk in the city with light luggage ( yours is too heavy so nothing for you ) and then go early to the airport , with snacks and food , in the airport check in as the first persons and then relax, eat , nap , read infront of the gate with no rushing and not staying in waiting lines.

Yes we learned the hard way the all-nighter was probably not the smartest choice. We have learned our lesson though moving forward :)

It's not a part of Aegean or any airline's policy, it's the law in all of Europe. If your credentials don't match your documents exactly then you won't be let on unfortunately. Even if you were married it wouldn't count if the name on the ticket didn't match the name on your Passport.

Policy seems to change regarding having to repurchase a ticket or get partial refund I think. Regardless I still don’t understand why if they have passport numbers in system you couldn’t use that that to prove your identity…

they could have tried to change it online where they booked it (oftern around 25€ fee), or support line. online is often cheaper than in the airport. "typos" in names are often free of charge, if its up to 3 letters only , but not a completly wrong name / family name.

@@papagal2553 True. Flights within Europe, you can have typos, but a typo would be Devvon, not a completely different name. Im from a country that does not legally have middle names, but many people do have them, but in their passports its stated as a first name, so a lot of people do it wrong when entering information because they think its a middle name, when its actually a first name. So you would not be let onto the plane in many instances, sometimes the airline does not care as long as first name and last name is correct, but again, depends on airline. Most airlines can also change the name for a fee. SAS for example, takes around 100 euros to change the name, its fairly easy to do to be honest. However it can only be done if you buy the ticket directly with the airline. Do you use a travel agent it cannot be done by the airline, but has to be done by the travel agency (so those who buy those cheap tickets on momondo or skyscanner, would have to contact their cheap travel agency and they might refuse to do it or take like 200+ euros for it). If you fly with multiple airlines in a connecting booking, then its simply not possible to do at all. So it really depends on the airline. Some airlines wont even notice that the name does not match with the name on the passport. But I think thats more for EU citizens flying in EU. 🤣🤣
