I would take the treasure bugs over parasites any day lol, once I got through one of the coins/treasure pieces I'd be fine, but there's just no possible way I could get used to eating parasites even after a couple

Agreed. I've heard of eating bugs before, NASA is even developing ways to raise and cultivate certain types of bugs to be used for sources of protein in long space voyages (another reason why volunteering to go to Mars is a bad idea). But I have never heard of anyone or any culture eating a freaking tapeworm before.

Apparently, the bigger the size of a squid is, the greater the level of ammonium chloride on their body, the squid use this substance to keep afloat inside the water and ammonium chloride taste kinda salty and bitter, just like what Laios tastes when he chomped the raw kraken meat.

Think Laios heard “it’s fine no matter how you prep it” about two things he had no experience eating, and rule of threes covered him presuming the same went for parasites in those things.

My understanding is that the party we see dead twice was revived probably near the stat of the painting fiasco, which wasted a large amount of tiem for our party. then our party and an interrupted rest period so probably slept in a little. Also, the parasite dish was based off of eel dishes, i understand the hold up, but hope you would try the actual appetizing looking eel dishes

Horse meat is actually good, and my favorite is this Filipino dish called Tapang Kabayo, which is horse meat cured in soy sauce, calamansi (Small citrus fruit found in the Philippines, similar to lemon and lime), and spices. Best served with garlic fried rice and fried egg, which is also an ideal breakfast meal.

@@bluestReacts truly understandable, given the cultural differences. To give you a picture, it is similar to lean beef with some hints of sweetness and gaminess. Which is why no one noticed it when it was mixed within beef burger patties in Europe back in 2010s, until it was checked in the lab.

Chilchuck is a half foot as well. They live much shorter lives than human/long-man so I'm guessing in human years Chilchuck gotta be at least 50 something

That would actually be a really cool theory if it were to come true, but with how easy it is to revive people in this world I'd be interested to see how they FULLY died if that were the case
