That's been a big part of my prayer for the last several months. YOUR will be done, not mine. I pray that God shows me His plan, but more importantly, that He align my will with His. That I find contentment, yes even joy, when His plan overrides mine. That is extremely difficult in times of loss and sorrow. But we know that His plan is always the right plan, at the right time.

Thank you so much for bringing this simple message. We are in rebellion so frequently, and have many idols. At least I am. Idols of being good at our job, being respected in our community and being “happy” with our things and life apart from Christ.

Ya' know, one would think that God would do something super-marvelous, to give us a leg up on constantly being downtrodden by the evils of everyday life. He doesn't have to give himself away that He really does exist. Just do something like completely eradicating all cancers and let us try and figure out how it happened. Why do we believers have to wait until death, to be rid of such terrribleness? We know that when we believers die, we're together with our Lord, but why do we have to wait so long suffering? (not ours to know, right?) We could really use a break of some sort these days, right?
