pretty good design compare to most other heaters on the market currently, but you guys should add a proper cord wrap (I diy one my own, shown on TMF) and a small cooling fan on the top rear with air intake holes on the lower half of the rotomold body (we should be getting a bit more for the increase in price of the heater). Also the reparability can be improved, cuz it's quite time consuming to do any repairs due to no easy access to each individual heater's electrical elements (and this will happen after 1k hours of operation due to lack of cooling on the hot wires and modules). Mine has been used for almost 3 years now, with about 2k+ hours on it, and it's reaching end of its lifespan (literally plagued with electrical issues) even though many parts are replaced. Hope you guys will learn from this and build it better (also tell John Labarbera his electrical wiring still sucks, just kidding).
Great video Austin, but wait, why is it so expensive? Its funny because I can buy the Mytee s300H for the same price with heat, is the Mytee hot turbo worth it or should I just but the Mytee s300H?
Thank you. The S-300H has a 600W heater, the Hot Turbo has, depending on the model, between 2400W and 4800W with variable selection, meaning much greater heating ability. The Hot turbo is an external heater and can not be used for cleaning on its own, you would use this to add heat to a cold water extractor or boost heat if necessary. Depending on several factors, like what you are cleaning, what machine you are cleaning with, and what your process is, you may or may not want this heater. If you plan to use the S-300H for auto detailing or upholstery spotting, you likely wont need a Hot Turbo.
It would make the 8070 much much hotter, bringing total heating watts up to 3,400 from the 1000 watts the 8070 has alone. We recommend a larger machine with higher power for wall to wall carpet cleaning but this setup would be very effective for small carpeted areas, in addition to upholstery.
I just purchased 1 of these but the problem is my quick connect on my machine is male and so is the the solution line for the heater 🤦 how can I make this work?
Either a double female adapter or switch out one of the fittings to female to make the connection work. These parts can be found on our website, and an adapter may be found at a hardware supply store
It does not necessarily need an extractor, but it is only a heater, no pump is inside so you would need SOMETHING to provide pressure if you want water to get through it. The internal thermostat will shut the elements off at 210ºF so it will not produce true steam either, only very hot water. We make a standalone steamer if that is what you are looking for: www.mytee.com/products/1600-focus-vapor-steamer-5/
This does not contain a pump to move water on its own, but hooking it to a water source like a garden hose would work in place of an extractor's pressure pump.
to run all four heat cores yes, each switch is 5 amps. If you can only find a 15 amp circuit, you can use just the first 3 switches and be good though.
