Oven Baked Sweet and Sour Ribs Ep.60
Recipe:
- Pork back ribs
- Pre-heat oven to 325F
- Remove membrane from back of ribs using a paper towel
- Season with salt and pepper
- Place on a grate in a roasting pan
- Add 1 cup of water under ribs
- Place in 325F oven for 1-1/2 hours
- After 1-1/2 hours remove from the oven transfer to a baking dish and lather ribs with sauce, both sides
- Return to oven for 1-1/2 hours, last 10 minutes on high broil
- Cut into individual ribs, plate and serve
The Sweet and Sour Sauce ( enough for 2 racks of ribs )
- In a sauce pan add:
- 1 cup of ketchup
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 Tbs. of soy sauce
- 1-1/2 tsp. of granulated garlic powder
- 1-1/2 tsp. of onion powder
- 2 Tbs. of corn starch
Stir all well, bring to a gentle boil and stir, simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes, cover and remove from heat
