Oh Nannie it was so great to see Moosie. So happy he is feeling better. We all have dumpster diving stories I’m sure. I worked at an elementary school for 30 years and of coarse there were several students loosing the retainers and having to go dig. I just was surprised when one of them was my daughter. But all ended well and it was found. Life is made of many memories 😂

We call them dogberry trees here in Canada. The folklore goes that the redder and more abundant they are, the colder the winter will be . I've noticed they're not as vibrant this year, no doubt due to the warm fall we've had. I do love them, and have had large, effusive trees of them growing on my property. Lovely video.

Back in the 1940's and 50's we had ash pits made of concrete for our trash. My sister who was pregnant saw something in the trash that she wanted and found something to stand on to get into the ash pit, will she got into it, but tried many times to get out and couldn't get out. Finally she called and yelled for help and finally my mom heard her and put something for her to stand on so she could get out. Rose was a little scraped up but she and her baby were fine. When Michael was born he weighed 10 lbs plus. This isn't a dumpster dive, it's an ash pit dive! Love the stories and happy J found that retainer!!

Cute cute story! I was a lunch lady for several years and they were many times when teachers, principals, lunch ladies etc. were digging through the garbage for some poor boys or girls retainer. It wasn’t much fun but we always found them!

Always enjoy your videos! We once had to dumpster dive behind a seafood restaurant to find our grand-neice's retainer! She was horrified and in tears when she realized the waitress had taken the folded napkin from the table! Fortunately, it was quickly found and all was well.😃

My son did the same thing with his retainer but we never found it....that was a very expensive lunch. When he realized his retainer was gone he went into the school office and called home to tell me about it, he was crying so hard I thought for sure he had hurt himself, his teacher had to get on the phone and tell me what had happened. Of course I hated that he had lost an expensive retainer but was very thankful he was ok..... Please tell Moosie that I loved his cap, very cute. I loved the retainer story! Years ago when my son was in 6th grade, his class went to Universal Studios for a field trip. When he got home he told us that he had lost his retainer on his lunch tray at Universal Studios. My husband drove the 90 minutes to Universal Studios and went to the lost and found. Someone in the cafateria saw the retainer on the tray and had put it in the lost and found! It was incredibly kind of the worker to do.

Hi Granny & Moose, What a wonderful fun filled video. That was jam packed and I loved it.! I am going to try the cake but I really don't like yoghurt, so I might just use sour cream. I will let you know how it comes out ! Btw, the plant with the berries is a Pyracantha bush and I was told that they were very poisonous and to keep them away from kids and pets in case they tried to eat them. I Googled the name and much to my surprise the first site said they were not poisonous and you could make jelly with the berries! The next site said they were VERY poisonous. These were both horticultural sites, so I am going to check with my gardener when he comes tomorrow. Also you looked gorgeous today and I love your grwm sessions. I always learn something. Love the dumpster diving story and so glad that they found that retainer. What a win!! My son did the exact same thing at a Mexican restaurant years ago. We did NOT dumpster dive for that thing and he never got another one. Hopefully lesson learned.

I had to get into the dumpster at Bonanza Restaurant because i too wrapped my retainer in my napkin. Sadly, even after searching through all the garbage, i couldnt find mine. So glad the parents found their son's retainer!

Success! Hooray! Sooooo…did you like the cake? I made it AGAIN yesterday with plain yogurt (I’m not doing any added sugar products), so a few drops of stevia in the mix and a few drops of vanilla . Still yummy. I heat it to take the chill off… (I am not a fan of cold “cake”… ) and I still use a 9” pan… gets really puffy, but falls to a half inch or so… I still love it! My fav with a cup of tea…and loaded with protein!❤️ I feel you with that sweater…! I would have clawed that off too! You are so talented with decorating and display..I guess a result of having a store to design? You do a beautiful job! Another fun video…so happy to see Moose and his positive attitude. It's so interesting how everyone has their own sequence of putting on makeup. I use a foundation all over including my eyelids as a base. Then I do my eyes, cheeks and lips. I make the lipstick do double duty for lips and for cheek color and my miscara does double duty for mascara and brow fill-in. I've gotten to the point where I can do it in about 10 minutes. Sometimes I change it up a little bit with more Shadow for an evening look, use different shadows and lipstick. It's always fun, and I always feel so much better having made the effort to look my best. Nanny, you might try doing your makeup while you're still in your robe, so you don't have to worry about foundation etc getting on your clothing

Nanny I know this is an old video but it popped up so I watched. I had to comment on the retainer rabbit hole story. I was a cafeteria worker at my childrens school and we knew many of the children. Often they came to us upset that they threw their retainers in the trash. We would place on gloves and search through the trash. I am sure most parents never knew what happened. 😊

I like the dumpster story you told about the little boys retainer, just wanted to share this one, I think it was this June my neighbor with her daughter and two other people went on vacation, my neighbor had given her daughter $500 in a bank envelope to keep for her on vacation, her daughter was cleaning out her pocketbook and didn't realize there was money in the bank envelope so it went into the dumpster her daughter and her daughter's friend went to the dumpster to see if they could❤ find it and thank the Lord they found it, the dumpster hadn't been emptied yet, needless to say my neighbor was very glad they found it 😊❤

When I am ready to get rid of something that is not broken but just not wanting it anymore…I always put it out with the trash cans cause I know the same people come by every Thursday to see what I put out and take it! So I guess I try to provide for those that “dumpster dive”.

I'm still catching up on your Channel! And I heard you tell the story about losing the retainer in the garbage can. It made me think of my husband who wore dentures, we were walking in a mall that had been closed as far as shopping but County had offices there and the ladies would walk at lunch. My husband had to sneeze all of a sudden and before he knew it his teeth flew out of his mouth and landed on the floor bouncing as they went lol, my husband grabbed him up wiped him off with his shirt and stuck them back in his mouth very quickly as we passed the walkers we heard all the Snickers and laughs. We have laughed and told that story many times around the campfire at my most embarrassing moment.

Don't feel embarrassed about dumpster diving. I like to call it curbside pickup. I found some lawn chairs. Also, when I went to the recycling place found flower pots and even those box tops off the cereal boxes. I enjoy watching your posts.

My daughter and I use to drive through neighborhoods on trash day and we would score big time! One time brand new rug from Ilea with price tag 300.00 on it. An antique lamp with fringe shade! So many things. Now people do it and so I quit finding anything great . Was fun though

Loved the almost all inclusive video. How blessed you and Mosey (he is a trooper) are to be able to live on your children’s property. Seems like lots of exploring and so safe for you both. Loved the glamour girl workout outfit and sun glasses. You have Jane Fonda beat. I saw the first time you were making the yogurt dessert that you were using baking soda. It had to be a very tasty surprise. I had an aunt who went to be a nun and as a novice mistakenly filled all the salt shakers with sugar what a surprise the sisters got that meal! By the way your teeth really are looking beautiful so what you are using is working and the mantel is so pretty. I think those are Cedar tree springs. Great video Nanny....loved every minute of it, and so glad Moosi is feeling so much better!!! How did the yogurt dessert turn out...was it good? I don't like yogurt, especially GREEK yogurt, and I wonder how regular yogurt would work? LOL, one way to tell would be for me just to try it, right!!! I would have to put some kind of (at least) artificial sweetener in it though, I want my desserts a little sweet!!! LOVE your Christmas mantel, those greeneries that you found are gorgeous, and so much prettier than anything artificial and love the brass candle sticks and plates too....j ust so charming.
