I stopped caring about the ringing in my ears and simply my mind stopped noticing. Deep down, I still feel it's there, but it's as if it has gone away.

It's wonderful to have you back again Alice. I think you are an awesome person sharing your personal life with everyone. I can relate to a lot of things you described and I'm also a "crackpot" LOL like you. It's when I hear that someone else is going, feeling, thinking strange things that's when I realize that I'm human. Coming to peace with ourselves is one of the most challenging things to do. Anxiety is part of our human condition, it's there to protect us but sometimes the anxiety works on overtime when it needs to rest but it doesn't. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to turn off the anxiety switch during that time? Keep the faith!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. A fellow crackpot! I totally agree and yes...it would be nice to have an anxiety switch wouldn't it? Nice to hear from you :)

I am going to the USA this Friday. The last 4 days have been good for me :) I've had 4 straight days with just a light buzz in my ear, Normally I get 1 or 2 days with a light Buzz a week and then 5 days in between of crazy Soundbased Sacartas in my head that are hard to ignore. But I do as best I can with body scans and breathing exercising and trying to stay busy. Thanks for your videos! Keeps me pushing to heal myself as much as I can. That is so true about retraining our brains to filter out the sounds, just need to accept that it will take time :) I stopped fearing my Sound would get worse, now I know it will get better! Excelsior!!!!

Good to see you safely returned from your vacation, I look forward to seeing more videos from your trip, the locations you visited looked beautiful, I believe that being out in nature is healing to our mind, body and soul. I’m sorry to hear you had some other health issues arise while on vacation, I hope it wasn’t to serious and that you’ve recovered. Anyway, it’s been a while since I’ve commented on any of your recent videos, I wanted to let you know that I’m still subscribed and watching your content. Tinnitus is still mostly in my awareness, next month on August 15th with mark 1 year that I’ve been living with the symptom. I know you’ve mentioned having one on one’s with your community that would like to do that with you. I’m interested and would like further information on that. Thanks for this video and sharing your experience while on vacation and for your continued words of support and hope. ❤

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment. It means a lot to me and I appreciate it. I have not dived straight into the one on one's since returning home as creating a website and getting that all right can take quite some time, however I have been thinking about starting out via direct email to start with for those who are interested from my youtube audience. If you would like to send me an email with what you would ideally like from one on one sessions with me, that would be great! I can then send an email back with information about it and what i'd be offering. My email is moyle.alice@proton.me :) sending you positive vibes!

@@alicemoyle your welcome, That’s understandable that you need to recoup from your vacation and settle back into the normal routine of daily living and activities, so no rush. Whenever you feel ready enough to start, is fine with me. Sure, I’ll send you a email and let you know, what I’m struggling with. I appreciate you and your videos are a great comfort. Thanks Alice ❤️ I’ll send you a email soon.

I reached 40.I have never had any illness.It's only 15 days that this has started and I have difficulty accepting that this has happened to me and that NOBODY believes what I am going through because my hearing is fine.

Great post. Any suggestions on dealing with tinnitus spike and sleep?
@alicemoyle
@alicemoyle 21 день назад
Thank you! I will be making a video on this at some point soon. However, I would try and have a wind down routine at night and practice some mindfulness. If it helps - you could play some white noise or something somewhat distracting to help you get off to sleep at night for the time being. Ultimately - the more i was able to accept the sound being there during a spike at night and not fear it, yes it was loud and annoying - however i managed to get off to sleep when i was truly tired. Perhaps, maybe you should only get into bed when you are feeling properly tired and not a minute sooner. This is generally recommended anyway if you struggle with sleep. Wishing you all the best!

@@alicemoyle yes, wind down routine is ways more important for people with tinnitus, dizzines and anxiety in general. We shoul all learn the one that suits us best, be it body scan, meditation, soft music... and of course STOP to blue screens.

I have stopped seeing bands which was a big part of my life and miss it deeply 😢.
@alicemoyle
@alicemoyle 21 день назад
Perhaps this is something that you could think about slowly doing after you've been able to get to a point of more acceptance and less fear around the sound. If you wear ear plugs for hearing protection - there is no reason as to why you can't still see bands! Nice to hear from you. Wishing you all the best.

hey, I loved going to concerts pre covid and when I got my tinnitus this year I thought I have to give that up. I read so much stuff online where people just simply told horror stories and while some people make bad experiences, so many don‘t (they just don‘t share it online). I went to see my favourite artist two nights ago (and I‘m talking about Taylor Swift, it was huge and loud). I have bad health anxiety & the days before I went through hell cause I read about all these horrific things that could happen, but it was fine. Protect your ears of course and try. Sending love from Germany 🫶🏻
