I bought this Mini with some issue with the coolant. According to the previous owner it was something related to the Thermostat. Well, in that case we need to dig into it. Find the cause and resolve the issue
Can you share how you went about removing the coolant temp sensor? Seems you have to also remove the thermostat housing to gain hood access with a wrench or socket. Is that necessary or can it be removed somehow without messing with the thermostat housing?
Indeed, I see the confusion now. On the car itsself, the thermostat was not removed. Only on the spare engine in the shed, the thermostat was removed. The temperature sensor can be changed, without removing the thermostat.
