P8 - JACKPOT The BEST CAVE in Derbyshire? 

Nestled on the outskirts of Castleton, P8, also known as Jackpot, is one of the best caves in Derbyshire.
Revealed as a vast system when first explored. Over 2km of passages are accessible, though most of the cave extends beyond sumps, accessible only to skilled cave divers.
P8's intricate multi-level passages are prone to flooding, making navigation challenging and often requiring multiple visits to fully explore.
Its complex routes include alternate paths and high-level pitches, but P8 is particularly notorious for high water risks, making it cave rescues most called out to location for hypothermia within Derbyshire.

Peak Caving Club is a Derbyshire based caving club with members from all over the UK.
Our community (now over 1000 strong and growing!) welcomes both new and experienced cavers providing opportunities to learn, share and enjoy the underground spaces beneath our feet safely.
We host trips every weekend and plenty midweek around the Derbyshire area to keep our members busy.
There's also regular trips throughout the year taking us to hotspot caving locations across the UK such as the Yorkshire Dales, Wales, the Mendips and many more.
