This Alma Woodsey Thomas art lesson shows you how to paint like Alma Woodsey Thomas paintings. It looks very simple like kids in Kindergarten could do it and actually they do because it is fun to do. In almost all my videos I use with Winsor&Newton Galeria acrylics, if not, I will say so in the video.
Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.

beautiful!!! I want to try this, it seems like a mandala or a modern roman tile work. Alma Thomas' work is really interesting, I like the colourfull result, it's very expresive. As you showed a close-up view of her artwork I realized how mastered in colour she was.

@@ImperfectPaintings Hi Albert, I've been working on Alma Thomas style this weekend. I have to say that it is not as easy as it seems. It requires a lot of precission with the paint brush because the strokes are very closed and the lines of each stroke on Alma's paintings are very well defined. You need a lot of patience and slow movements.... It was very surprinsing to see how difficult is to paint like she does. Thank you for the example!

Thanks, D M. I observed Alma Thomas artwork and noticed she often switched between light and dark colors. It made it easier to choose because my options became limited. Now you know this, look again at her artwork, and you will understand. Albert

That is very nice work. Can you show me how to paint like kenneth noland. I tried b4. can't get a perfect circle or smooth face with acrylic. I would like to know how to do that.
