Tell me about that sweet corvette! Nice! Hey, your paint is like super fine. i know this is on youtube, but I watch at 720p and you have some good cameras, the results are really so nice. has to be due to all the great prep and use of good materials. Keep up the good work.
Had decided to buy a new truck in 72 and loved that color. 73, they changed the body style and deleted that color. Bummer!!! Took me a year to get used to the new style. Bought my first new truck in late 73. A 74 Cheyanne Super stepside in "Rosedale Red" that I had until 2003. $3700.00 out the door!! Straight to the tire shop for slotted mags and tires. Eventually put a grey tonneau cover with a huge maroon bow tie, tunneled the tail lights into the fenders, cut Monte Carlo back up lights into the rear bumper, put the Fleetside fender trim on the wheel openings. Had about 250K miles on that truck when I replaced it in 2003. Kept getting "oversprayed" at construction sites. Painted that truck 3 times!!! You right, it's "Gorgeous"!!! 👍👍🛠⚙️✌️
WOW she looks amazing! the depth you guys get on your clears is so nice, I'd be afraid to touch it because it still looks wet. And you right about the tail gates mine looks like Nancy Pelosi's face.
Here from Andy's Dog House shout-out. The C10's are near and dear to me, definitely a great looking paint job ! Any chance you will have the finished truck back in for a look see at it re-assembled ?
So that's what my 69 C20 look like originally wow. Too bad some one resprayed it s**ty maroon without prep. Straight over the oxidized factory paint. Would definitely like to paint it back in two tone glory. Curious what that metallic olive green would look with some pearl white instead of just gloss white.
what paint product do you use for your basecoat/clearcoat. I know you said paint color was a custom blend. can you share a little bit about what you did to the med olive. thanks, beautifull job
@@OldTimeGarage Can you tell me what basecoat/ clearcoat product you used. I know you said it was a custom mix on the paint code, any way of getting me close? really love the color. Getting close to painting a 72 K5
@jamestriebwasser1867 ??? I've had my 70 C10 since the late 90s. My dad bought it new. I've never once felt unsafe. Nor, have I heard stories of explosive fireballs on par with the Pinto. Is this up there with the concern over saddlebag tanks back in the day?
