Part 2 Is where I really begin detailing my Painting "strength'. Using acrylic medium here and enjoying building composition and perspective as I go - now that's creating! Several things to think about painting this style and that's why it's so rewarding.
Knowing how to use your paints and their abilities is a major key along with tonal changes and development that add up bringing the piece alive. Understanding composition and perspective is a must and knowing subject matter are vital to successfully 'paint as you go' and allows the process to be relaxing and thoroughly fun.
You don't need fancy colours or equipment to smash out realistic art - just a few basic colours, brushes - armed with the right tips and tricks and you're on your way. Don't get bogged down in complex crapola I say. Treat your paints like 'mates' - get to know them, understand mixing, tonal variations and how they interact with one other. This ability allows you to not only smash out master pieces with ease - you can also paint any where, any time with minimum tools to be carried!
Now that's the life!
