Note that all Costco steaks (even prime ribeye cap) are "blade tenderized." The fine print warns you to cook to a MINIMUM 145° F.

Nicely done! Look forward to frying my first ribeye on my newly purchased Heritage Steel stainless steel pan (my very first stainless steel pan).

Normally stainless steel gets too hot for butter, did a nice job there. I still prefer cast iron, but nice work!

Curious what the cabbage looking side dish is. And how you make it ?
@samvong3738
@samvong3738 3 года назад
I pan seared the cabbage. Brush the cabbage with olive oil and season it with salt and pepper then pan sear it on medium heat for 4 minutes.

How high did you get the pan?

So many things that the "experts" would say you did wrong. You cooked it just like I do in my Allclad pan too. Good job. Also, I tried it both ways and now I never let my steak set. I eat it fresh and hot. It's just as juicy. I think letting a steak set and cool is an old wise tell or pretentious chefs at the very least.

Thanks James. Next time I will try eating it hot and juicy.

James Revell why are you trying to ruin that man’s steak, and then trying to pin it on “pretentious chef’s” as if only they understand the logic behind it. Not too smart are you

While the steak rests and the meat juices redistribute, the foil helps the meat retain some heat so that it's not cold when it's time to eat.
