Awesome news, thanks for your awesome videos on this problem! Hopefully the firmware update fully fixes this bug and the performance of G80 image stabilization will be even above GX80.

hello Marcin, I was introduced to you by 43rumors on your original video about the g80 is problem. Good to hear there's an update in the works because I just got my g80 in today! Great camera so far and I like all the upgrades from my g7. The only thing the g80 is missing is a headphone jack, that would make it my perfect camera, well that and if they would throw in the 20mp sensor like the gx8 which I also have but get rid of the aa filter. But who knows, maybe the gh5 will be that camera. Anyways I did get to test out the is in 4k video, for almost a minute and I did notice some panning issues but for the most part it was hardly noticeable. But that was from a short test so I'll see how it does with more testing. I really like it a lot overall, just not crazy about the plastic feel to it. I know there's a mag plate in the front but it feels just like my g7 but heavier and not solid like the gx8. Oh well I guess you can't have it all.

Hi. Although I use a broadcast eng video camera, 2 days ago I had to buy a G85 rapidly due to my unexpected & lucky quick sale of all my older & newer Nikon back-up equipment. I did not research the G85 enough but I managed to do some shooting in the store & later checked it on my edit system. I noticed the distinct jerking problem right away but I convinced myself that I caused the jerks. Soon after I found your RU-vid post & realized I was not the cause. I bought the G85 anyway hoping a fix would come quickly. I've since used it a couple of times with a hand held stabilizer with the internal stabilizer turned off...no jerks! With the internal stabilizer on the jerks were there! Thank you very much for getting the ball rolling. I hope a fix comes soon but I'm very disappointed with Panasonic for insufficient testing before product release!!! Josh

any trouble assigning functions to F3/F4 buttons Marcin. Cant seem to get the functions on the dial buttons as well i.e. ISO, WB and align. definitely needs new firmware

That's good...but should never have happened in the first place. They rushed to release untested model because of the ridiculous delay before the GH5 is available. But this doesn't solve the problem with the old and now hopeless Panasonic video AF technology...compared to Sony a6500.

I shoot most of my vlogs and videos on the G7, I wish it had proper stabilisation like the G80. There is digital stabilisation but it only works in 1080p, you get some stabilisation if you use Panasonic but the options for wide lenses is limited. I went down the manual fast adapted lens route, trouble with that is there is no stabilisation. The g80 should solve all those problems when I upgrade.

***** Hey mate, in the end I went for a nikkor 18mm prime married to a speed booster by Metabones. I have to say I am very happy with the results. Especially for walking around and talking on camera.

Solid choice ! Im on a Blackmagic Pocket - with Nikon and Minolta Speedbooster´s from Metabones - and those vintage lenses simply BLOW´s all the "New" competition, out of the water ,- ...tho i must admit i couldnt stay away from the Sigma 18-35 "Art",- ;)
