Im really considering this. Just one thing that I cannot see mentioned anywhere. Will this camera pop up as an option in Quick Time on a mac, when clicking "Archive - New recording". When you do that, do you get a live feed from the camera which can be recorded? This is crucial for me. Thanks.
I bought the camera a few days ago for RU-vid but it doesn't seem to be working out.. the auto focus doesn't work properly and I'm trying to slightly blur the background but even that won't work.. Also I'm new to using cameras and all.
Can you adjust the focus manually within photos and video captures? It's all good and well that the AF is very much improved, but I was still curious about manual focus in case I wanted to lock the focus to a point while recording or to focus a point that isn't as obvious to the camera when I take a still photograph. Thanks
Is this camera capable of capturing 12 megapixel images in the 16:9 aspect ratio, or would you have to lower the quality of the images to make them full screen? I'm considering purchasing this camera, but if it can't shoot images in 16:9, I would hate to lower the quality when the maximum is already only 12mp.
+Geeky Collector I don't believe so. That would defeat the purpose of this camera. It's a all in one camera that takes great pics and video with a Super long Zoom
F 2.8 is actually F 15.7 is a full frame equivalent. If you are going to talk about focal length as a full frame equivalent, then you should also talk about f-stop as a full frame equivalent. F 15.7 doesn't sound all that good does it.
It only affects the background blur not shutter speed. Ofc you could mention that crop sensors won't give you the same subject separation but it's not really important. Beginners won't care and experienced photographers will know There are apsc and m43 cameras too. So for the sake of simplicity we just use the F numbers it says on the tin.
