I was really thinking that Jorji is just a little man that makes forced passport for himself, until I recognise that he tries to bring drugs in his body. No, he isn't innocent.

It’s set in 1982 as well so the timing must be perfect. I also did this as we read 1984 for English, absolutely for the vibe of colour scheme (spoilers below) and I can imagine this being played as Julia and Winston see the telescreen behind their wall as they know they’re doomed
@@Legohunter-uv1wc Ah yes, reminds me of the "Give Everyone A Heart Attack (No Occult Stuff)" list my honors english class and creative writing class made: Hunger Games, F. 451, 1984, Phantom Of The Opera, The Most Dangerous Game, Edgar Allan Poe, Beowulf, Dracula, Frankenstien's Monster, Hatchet, The Fault In Our Stars, and Incarnations Of Burned Children...
The reason this game is so good is because it tells a story through simply game mechanics. It doesn't rely on heavy cutscenes, similar to Half-Life, which ends up in a game that teaches the player the plot subconsciously.
The exact opposite of most good horror games. (I.E. teaching people the story through reading like an entire novelette that's in Outlast... full of the biggest words fucking ever)
"I have only passport but hear me out." "There is little time. I must enter today." "I come back in 3 days with right papers." "To prove, I give you something important." "Is special family treasure." *gives the inspector a watch* "Fully digital." "You hold as collateral." "I will be back to pick it up." "And take this." *gives inspector 5 credits* "All for green stamp." _Proceeds to steal watch and detain him_
I had a very monotonous and boring governmental job checking the mathematics supporting pension payments. I played this on loop on my headphones as I worked...
I know that public sector admin feel, bro :( My job was literally ticking off salaries bigger than mine checking sums that someone at the Treasury had already done.
David Huryn Hehe lol InspectorWhat is the password? Entrant:Uhhhhhh i don't know. Cheese? Inspector:DENIED GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH YOUR FUCKING STINKING CHEESE! Next.
Hello Inspector. We have audited your recent activities. You have listened to Papers, Please: Theme Song on repeat for 12 hours. Good job. You are clear to return to your post on January 1st, 1983. Glory to Arstotzka.
Forget the memes, this is a staggeringly well constructed piece of music. The horn bass line represents the monotony of the daily grind, but slightly changes at points as guided by the other instruments. Then the rattling strings represent the people coming to your desk - mostly innocuous, but with a slight layer of intrigue. Next we have the string baseline which comes in at 0:23 (and a half), which represents that the daily monotony is starting to get just a bit more complex and dangerous. We get our first major percussion at 0:46, but only one strike. One strike of something dangerous. Then again at 1:03; as tensions are starting to ramp up, the weight of the percussion gets closer. Finally, at 1:20 the percussion kicks in fully as we get a key change - your job is no longer just boring paper pushing, but real, heavy duty work on which lives depend. It's some of the best aural representation of themes I've heard in a video game.
I wanna read something like this for most of the atmospheric musics. The most recent game I have played is gta4, which has a super unique and stylish soundtrack. It made me feel so much, but of course I wanted to read something explaining about it.

Michael V. Sauce would be the kinda guy to spot a loophole in Arstotzka's Laws and Regulations, and then gets executed in an attempt to make people not use the loophole, only for it to become worse and 50% of the population is using the loophole AKA The Streisand Effect
Just played it after 4 years yesterday and got all endings. Basically played it for the whole day. Still holds up and if the dev made a sequel I’ll bet it’ll be wildly successful and something a lot of people talk about for at least a year or two. Really hope the developer does make a sequel.
@@dabbingraccoons6416 There should really be a second part or something like that. This is such an amazing game. The concept is simple but there's so much lore to it. Gotta appreciate the style as well.

if i worked as a border guard i would have this on a near constant loop in my customs station, i'd know which people crossing over had played the game by who either busts a gut laughing or shits their pant s in fear upon entering.

May future generations know that a game doesn’t need to be played online, nor does it need to be a shooter, nor does it need to be realistic. Any concept can become a game. Getting Groceries? Make a game of it. Clicking a jar of Mayo? Make a game of it. Making music? Make a game of it. Running a border checkpoint? Make a game of it. I hope when it comes to games people understand that anything, any style, any audio, makes a game good.
Wise words, is stuid how people demand on games being like real life, at the end of the day the concept of the game is just to escape from the cruel reality
When I first saw jacksepticeye play the game, I fell in love with it, the artstyle, the simple mechanics, the increasing difficulty, and the theme song, it's honestly beautiful, I didnt usually hear the full song so recently I went to RU-vid to hear it fully, and wow, I didn't know it was this godamn good
