Parkour Visions 2012 Invitational Competition 

Some really great runs in here! That double kong from Yoann Leroux @2:46 was INCREDIBLE!!

I think this was great, it lets you test your limits and learn new ones, not limit yourself or "dilute" the meaning of parkour. Great job to everyone involved, I LOVE that these guys were like BALLS-TO-THE-WALL you have to do all these huge jumps. No small stuff. This was advanced, and it was awesome.

Love the great display of technique here: I promote landing on the midfoot. Cos I love going big for the comps, it's why i train parkour. Go big, or go home is my motto. Good job Pk Visions.

The bases of Parkour are to be able to react in a real situation. Competition are a way to test your ability , your experience and your training. Competition is against yourself who do it against other people don't understand parkour and when i see a comment like that I think people like you can't controle Parkour correctly a be afraid about this kind of competitions and you think already about a wrong way to use your art. I'm selfish and think just how to get better at parkour by my training.

Finally, the noncompetition brings the true confidence, beat your comrades when you win hurts them and make grows the ridiculous proud only make a false "confidence" with the others, noncompetition make a true confidence with yourself, more strong than the other. By other side, i´m not angry, i didn´t want to seems that i´m angry... and by sure that i´ll travel when i can and i´d like have trainings with you. i only give my point of view.

And yes sorry parkour is not a team sport but parkour continue to evolve and now we have huge community around the world. Can you live without friends? Not me Just 3 things 1 Travel 2 Never judge 3 Come play with us. Sorry for my english i'm just a simle french men who travel around the world without doing judgment. Yoann Leroux

Parkour isn´t only a physical sport, it has also a philosophy and lot of people believe, i don´t know why, that they are enoughtly important to change this philosophy... Parkour is adapt the body how you say,but is more things, most of them philosophy things. I needn´t competition to know if i can do anything or not... competition is almost a kind of violence with the "friends" or comrades of training. I share trainings with friends, is a personal way which i share with friends ^^ Best wishes:)

Sorry did you see a competition ? because i watch a video about people doing Parkour one by one against some stuctures ? If meeting friends and try come over obstacles with the most efficient way is prohibited in Parkour I think i need to stop doing this sport because I thought that was about freedom.

The videos are fun to watch and yes some people do enjoy the competition, but that is not what parkour and freestyling is about. Even though the goal of parkour is to travel the quickest possible from A to B. The soul is lost and if it became mainstream to have parkour and freestyling competitions that would result in becoming some sort of modern acrobatic urban typical Olympic running.

Well they aren't only doing parkour so basically they're doing both. I think they could drop the competition, but still be there for the sake of fun. Why compete when you can enjoy?

The first prize is for the most injuried person in competition? More or less it seems that. "Parkour against competition" doesn´t means anything for you? i really like some jumps but i hate the real meaning of the video... the noncompetition is one of the best things on parkour and it must be respected. Parkour is a personal way, not for glory or money from others, only training for yourself, it´s more important than jumps. Sorry for my english, but i think people understand i want to say.

Don't worry men ;) like I said i travel a lot and i hear this type of point of view but from people learn Parkour in the front of a screen and that normal because nobody talk about a real methode we talk about diffrents inspirations from Military force or George Hebert. The only think France gave to you are 3 shit movies who make a bad reputation about parkour. Where is the methode ? , where is the parkour park of david belle ? nothing happen parkour is build by the community in the street.

David Belle wanted to make competition in his parkour park and event. Why the rest of the world can't do the same ? if you see what david belle did for parkour without give a name and make a stupid fake french gangsta movie in who nobody know how to speak french properly? I think nobody are able to say anything to the community or academy in this world. If parkour look like that that the fault of the fonder ;) but they already know it that why they just make money like me with events.

I really don't like this. Parkour isn't supposed to be competition. (Free) (Running) is lost if freerunning becomes like any other sport where competition, medals and rank are decided by other people, time and points. Quote: Only a very select group can take on. Seriously. Some of the "SOUL" is lost.
