Part 1 Last Look at the Warner Bros Ranch Before Demolition starts, exclusive Historic Backlot tour 

I was fortunate enough to grow up in Calabasas in the 60s,70s and 80s with a Mom and a Grandfather who were both in the behind the scenes work, I can’t tell you how many incredible stories I got to hear growing up. They both worked on those lots often and I miss them both but time marches on and change is inevitable. GIV thank you again for another great video.

Memories keep them alive, memories will never die.

Not only is the facade you tour in Lethal Weapon movie, but in the 1960’s it was the house from the TV series, “Hazel” and for one season of “Gidget” Starring Sally Fields. Also seen in The Monkees TV show and many other Screen Gems Productions.

The Bewitched house is the most iconic, it should be dismantled and moved to a location where it could be seen on a studio tour. Thanks for GiV'ng. 😎👍👍

Mike, the way you vlog makes me feel like I'm there. Your slow pace and not talking constantly make it feel as though a person was there by themselves. I agree with you. I know how you feel! Recently went to see the Hollywood sign, and the Adam West Batman cave, and then Hollywood Forever Cemetery. You get a very interesting feeling being in these places close to the people and places in cinema history.

I can only imagine that feeling!🤯 i use to think they were all filmed in neighborhoods!!!

Dear Mike, I LOVE your style and way of presenting, and touring us, so that we are going to these places with a good friend! It's just enough speech and information, and then time to look and reflect~!!!!! Thank you so much!!! I LOVE this Lot!! It's where I "spent my childhood", so to speak, watching The Partridge Family and Bewitched, etc. And by the way, So Sadly, the house that was demolished and torn down there, with the green cloth fence around it, that recently had been the Sheldons house, IS, THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY HOUSE!!! We are all sickened by what they did to that house, as alot of us were rallying to save The Partridge Family House, and the whole backlot. Actually Amazon, and Netflix were trying to buy it from the new owners, to save it as an historical landmark, as they are the ones who have been recently continuously filming there, on a regular basis. They even offered another piece of Real Estate as a trade, I found out. But the Investment Company hired to develop this land, so Warner Brothers could some day lease it back, they were just ruthless and unyielding.

It is very cool you were able to visit and document that iconic location before its destruction. That will be a sad day in the world of classic movie lovers. Amazing video buddy.. A🙌ESOME STUFF.

One thing I think is truly amazing is how they can use a house set like that and make it look one way for a movie and then completely change it to another look and reuse it over and over again it’s just amazing to me and along with that, this is a part of the movie history that’s never gonna be duplicated again, ☹️ because everything is going to CGI just a shame in a way i’m happy to say that you were able to do this Venice and you take care of yourself Mike be safe❤️🤠

I am a big bewitched fan, so I came here to see if you included the bewitched house. Thank you for doing that. This might be the last time I ever get to see that house again live that is. I cannot believe they’re actually tearing office down, it really is horrible. The two executives in the company responsible for this obviously have no feelings for nostalgia or what everybody else thinks of stuff like this. All they care about is the bottom dollar and should be ashamed of themselves.

This is the most interesting thing I have seen on the internet in many years , it's a little overwhelming with all of the memories this is bringing out , great job and thank you .

A lot of the interior shots for Lampoon were on soundstages. The gentleman on the tour was right it would seem much of the interior was filmed on a soundstage. The crew and equipment would make it impossible to have used the house for a lot of the interiors.

I get it mike. Love the movie world. I was born in 1970 and was glued to the tv and movie screen.

I am glad that I paid visit there last year.

Thank you so much for this. Even after growing up in California and being on sets with my work (even though I am in sciences now), it's always great to see these. When my dad started working in architectural design, he used to build some of the studio structures. Always fascinating. Christmas Vacation is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. And yes it does snow in California. We have some of the highest mountains in the United States with ski resorts and it snows seasonally. Not always in Los Angeles but Hollywood seems to make California and its beaches look like warm water, warm weather and it's not the case. It is a cool feeling to be there, and I am sure it is for you. It is somewhat sad to see that all to be destroyed. But it is Hollywood movie sets. Thank you again so much for sharing this first part.

Fortunately I saw this back lot in 2015. Loads of pictutes! About lost my mind when I saw the Bewitched house! 100 years of history... Gone. 😢 Such a travesty

Very cool Mike. I understand your emotion. Me and my family watch Christmas Vacation every year. We drink eggnog from our moose mugs when cousin Eddie has his😊😊😊😊😊. Everyone has their own mug which my wife bought from official website. Sad they are going to knock it down but I guess it's bound to happen at some point. Might as well be witness to the event.

ahhh really feels like the end of an era😢 love ya channel❤ I know that its not exactly probably as structrually sound as home home but ya think with the massive homeless issue they would figure out some way to recycle them or repurpose them or something like reusing materials in someway instead of just demolishing a roof that could really benefit so many in some way😢 instead of tearing it down maybe recycle materials or some thing ya know lol

*Bewitched was one of the classic TV shows of the 1960s. I believe that sitcom did a lot of outdoor scenes too. So that part of the backlot was used in a lot of shots. Not sure why WB (or the new owner) wants to rip out a backlot & replace it with soundstages (or offices?). Such structures worldwide (in Atlanta, NYC, Vancouver, London, etc) are a dime a dozen. As for WB, their new "The Flash" movie is reportedly a financial disaster. Same is supposedly the case with the new Indiana Jones movie. Yikes. Maybe that backlot in the not-distant future will be needed for tract homes, not movies or TV shows*

Best video to date. I have never had the chance to tour this beautiful lot of all the movie houses. Sad that these movie houses are going to be gone just a waste of good movie memories. May the people who made the ultimate decision to be punished for destroying these movie house. I tell you one thing i would pocket knife me momentos of each house so you can say you always have movie house memorabilia to add to start a cool collection
