Chez, it's nice to see that you love your truck driving job, and love watching your RU-vid and I will subscribe cause you remind me of me drive and done driving in 2015. I also am retired from the military and are 100% disabled and like seeing young truck drivers like you, and the companies I drove for from first to last, CRST -SUCK, PRIME - GOOD CO. and AVERITTE - AWESOME CO.. And my grandson 26 is a truck driver himself so take care my friend
Biggest thing I will tell you if you are thinking about going into being an owner operator. Is never do a lease purchase from a company. If that is something you truly decide you want to do later on I would highly recommend getting a truck through a private Leasing Company. The problem with doing a lease purchase from a company like Swift for example. Or Schneider or any others....Until you pay off the truck you are stuck with that company unless you decide to walk away from the lease. They will not let you work for anyone else if you are doing a lease purchase through a company.
Chez, I grew up in Carson before the mall was built...." WEST SIDE D.A"..seeing you driving down those streets brought back memories. Stay safe young man. we might meet up on the road...driving for Mays Trucking!
Your videos are great. You can and should do daily vlogs. Your life, your family plus trucking. New and different for the RU-vid community. Give me a like on this post if Chez should do a daily vlog.
Young Buck I find your videos entertaining and you do have a lot of informative information as well. Happy Birthday!! Know I'm late but just started watch your videos. Be safe and take care!!
Happy birthday man. You need to get that ac fixed before it gets any hotter! Would u mind covering how much ur checks are now that you’re settling into your groove months after finishing the CDL training? I’m deciding between swift and prime
haha thanks ((: I’m using Rand Mcnally 2.0 and it’s pretty rare that when I put an address and takes me to a different place, probably happened twice so far owning it for 3 months now (:
starting with swift 5/24, after a get the 2nd Wahu shot, there'l send me to Columbus terminal cause i live in Pittsburgh,Pa. have TWIC card and Hazmat already, took 2 hours to fill out online application, she call an hour after sending it WOW thats fast, sense i got lic and Experience from the 90's, be with trainer for 200 hours or so, start at 44 cents for dry van or 46 cents reefer trailer, getting 800 dollars per week with trainer
Happy birthday ( enjoy em while You still look forward to em ) !!!! Hot Girl ( I'm jealous LOL) When You're bobtailing You HAVE to really watch EVERYTHING & EVERYONE around You!!! Never think You're not working when They're paying You to bobtail !!!! You can't stop as fast or as easily .
Hey chez have you ever thought about getting a job on a Pete or a kw? I’m a car guy in New Zealand, drive a kenworth for a living. I reckon if you’ve modded/ put that much effort into the 350 you’d love rolling in a Pete or a kw 🤘
@@chez8239 your eld doesn’t operate until truck is over 5pm. Some drivers want to move their trucks without triggering the timer. So they slow roll to spots
@@chez8239 Good stuff I was talking to the Recruiter and she told me I would have to OTA/Regional before getting a chance to do dedicated. In my mind I was like what you talking about Willis!!!
I got my CDL back in 2017 cause of doing American truck sim went to roadmaster in Tampa and 2018-2019 almost 6 months drove for Schneider and got let go cause I had 3 preventable accidents accidentally tapping a light pole at the oc then running over a gate post with my trailer turning into a receiver and then when picking up an empty I unlatched the door on the passenger side after they checked to make sure it was empty and I had to move forward to close it cause I was to close to the trailers and the door missed hit the parked trailers and had a lot of hard breaking and stability control there is time where do I go back out on the road to try it and SFI is part of Schneider but just wondering if I should or not but to get my trucking fix is American truck fix also when I drove I would start around 2:30 in the morning to end early and one thing I saw was not getting a cat scale
hey its me casey i applyed for swift but they dropped me because of my charges but they were dropped now i applyed for navajo express in denver co they running my background but so far everything is good i got one more thing then i should be ready to roll with navajo express ..
Just came across this. Can’t believe it’s been this long. I’m in the swift refrigerated division for about a year out of Atlanta. Shoot I love it. People out of west valley city are the best tho
Did you get to choose to test in an automatic or not? Cuz I'm going through TransTech and they have all manuals and I've never driven a manual before so I'm kinda scared about it.
Whatever you do. Learn and get your cdl in manual. It opens up alot more doors in the future. Not as much with that restriction of strictly autos. Ask me how I know.
@@chez8239 yes you’re right. But that’s mainly for large companies to get new drivers in without having to learn manual. I missed opportunities in smaller better companies cause they only had manuals. Already have my restriction removed tho.
Bro, love you footage your insights great content. 👍 just 1 thing. Stop complaining please it will help your moral and ours we love what you do. It's the neg vibes that stem from the few words we hear from ya. Positivity vibes you Vanna channel
I am thinking of going to swift's CDL schooling. Are their programs pretty good? Just trying to get my foot in the door! Trying be a second generation trucker
@@genilroxas8516 bro yun ang pinaka easy ! trust me pag na pass mo lahat ng maneuver ur pretty much pass na basta ingat sa speed and watch mirrors every 5-8 seconds ! make sure yung tester nakikita ka nya na nag checheck ng mirrors, and watch ur turns make sure wag mong hit ang curb kasi automatic fail yun and full stop ka sa stop signs and red lights👍
I'm in pa. It's probably different pay out west. But I'm sure you'll take 1100 and up regional or home daily. I did amazon and was bringing 12- 14 after taxes 5 days on 2 off and still go home once or twice in between.
