thanks a lot you help me set my timing well after watching this video i was set my timing from 0 and the valves was touching the piston and making noise when start because of bad timing thanks my master
Very grateful for the effort put into providing these vital details.I have one question, the piston rings require gapping or are they preet from the ring manufacturers.I often see mechanics gring them down
Love this video but I wanted to no if i was to take out the diesel pump to service it I usually set back the timing before I take it out will it come out if timing when I take the pump out for service
hi i have a 2006 ford ranger that i'm doing a rebuild on. i'm having trouble with the timing marks. i have watched your videos and all the timing marks on the cogs are lined up and the flywheel has been turned back 15 teeth. when iv gone to put the crank pulley on i've noticed that the mark on the crank pulley does not line u with the marker, ive also notice that the fuel pump marker does not line up. if i turn the flywheel to TDC the crank and fuel pump then line up. does this mean i turn the flywheel to TDC when i put the head on so all the marking line up??? i hope you can help as im very confused
i have an wl-at broken engine in my mazda. do you know if i can use an wl-at engine with rpm sensor on ''fuel pump timing gear'' i think the only diference is this rpm(crankshaft sensor), some flap on intake maifold, and crankshaft pulleys. both engine block have wl-at sign on. engine in my car has crankshaft sensor timing gear cover and it reads of crankshaft pulley if you have an email i can send you some photos of both engines
my car has turbo wl. used engine come without turbo and fuel pump so i dont know. But on pipe on engine head there is pipe for cooling turbiune so i think it was turbo.
This is my daughter acct, but you can reply to it.The video was cool and informative . I scrapped my Wl non turbo and didn't see timing mark on gear for fuel pump.can you advise?I am a DIYer and it's my first time at my WL engine (Trevor).

Hello guys. But the yellow marks are done by you? Under wich reference? Because when i dismantled my engine i didnt see any marks i look for them. If i dont have the marks in the gears, how would i know then how to install them?
which yellow mark you talking about ? the ones to tighten the bearings on camshaft. if so then i assume they just marked it to know when to tighten to the appropriate torque spec. i guess a torque wrench would work nicely. video said 33 foot pounds
