Part 2: MLB Draft Tips for OOTP 22 

One thing I like to do towards the end of the draft is take college players who are good defenders but can't hit. That way my young pitchers in the minors will have strong defenses behind them, and if the players have good leadership qualities that's a bonus. Unless you really care about your minor league teams winning I think it's a pretty good strategy once the talent pool dries up.

It’s funny that Garret Wade’s name pops up here. In one of my ootp 21 play through a he was drafted first overall, hit the majors within the first year and proceeded to have a career that boardered on hall of fame

Funny, in my sim Troy Taylor became a perennial Cy Young contender, but only had 45 stamina so I don’t think he ever pitched a complete game lol

Do you leave players you draft that can hit and pitch as "2-Way" players, or do you force them into one or the other from the time you draft them? At what point do you intervene and say no no you are now a Pitcher, or you are now a hitter? Just curious as to your approach on this.

Great videos, always enjoy following along with your exploits through a season, looking forward to when you get your new hardware. Question, how did you create the draft views (and other views) that you've created? They look extremely helpful, but I can't seem to find the right setting to add those.

Helpful as always - I need to think about getting high character, good defensive players for minor league filler later in the draft. You're not gonna hit a home run with every pick and having a good minor league structure is just as helpful. Do you have any idea when you're gonna start your OOTP 22 franchise? Curious if you think the game is in a good enough state now (I've been super busy the past month so I haven't been paying much attention) :)
