Yh Beamdog's writing was terrible. Havne't played Dragonspear but the 'banter' with the new characters was like listening to some Dragon age fanfic shit. Terrible. Souless. Lacking any real character. Hearing Viconia and Edwin talk in new 'Enchaned' Edtion characters had me actually cringing.
I don't hate Beamdog's characters as I think it's cool to have new ones included, but they weren't on the same level as the original writing team and sometimes yes, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Neera for instance just seems like she was cobbled together from whiney hyper-SJW livejournal chicks and that is coming from someone who is pretty damn left and bordering on Chomskian anarchy in his belief system.
@@ZeroMalarki Lmao, anarchy is on the right. It's not leftist and to even suggest otherwise is propaganda of the lowest order. Totalitarianism (socialism) is hardcore leftism. The staunch right is anarchy (libertarianism). That being said, yes, the new writing was shit.
@@Archedgar I think there's a few different thoughts about anarchy. There's a anarcho capitalism which I think is fucking terrifying on the right and there are more anarcho communist movements I can sort of get behind but I have some reservations about. Chomsky is almost universally regarded as left and wrote a book on the pros of anarchy. I think you might be wise to have a gander at it
@@Archedgar You are very confused. - ultra right wing Nazi Germany was equally as totalitarian as Mao's China or Stalin's Russia... totalitarianism isn't a spectrum-dependent concept - the 'libertarian' label has application on both the far left and far right, e.g. 'anarcho-libertarianism' is left wing - 'anarchism' is similarly a dual-wing label, with (e.g.) 'anarcho-capitalism' being right wing and 'anarcho-communism' obviously being left wing - *Beamdog's writing was amateurish, but you managed to be categorically wrong about every single thing you said there (lmao)* You obviously don't know the first thing about political science and its ideological labels. And before you even say so: *no,* someone pointing out your ignorance is _not_ "propaganda of the lowest order."😂
Depends on whether or not they can use their deity's favored weapon. For example, had Anomen the ability, he could use a bastard sword since that was Helm's favored weapon. But I don't think that trait was introduced at this time.
At the inn at Docs, there is a waiter that say that Edwin is very nice and gently lover, despite him acting like an asshole most of time. She want to tell everyone how nice and caring he actually is. He threaten her after, few party members make fun of him and that's how conversation ends, nothing more.
"Ah, and I suppose he had a comical disfigurement, or his mind fell a few coppers short of a silver, or that his tremendous odor kept the stars afloat!" god I love Edwin hahhahah
because they know edwin would just as easily betray them to save his own skin or gain power. his scheming, evil nature is why he was able to see through yoshimo, as he knows himself well.
I personally hate the update BG. The forgot many hidden treasures and traps. Something only the ones who played the game when it came out would know about.
@@Kingdemonpigfromhell aerie sees multiple planes of existence, both in what can, may and might be, oftentimes with little choice to stop it when it happens, I think she can see him as both a woman and a man and finds it comical. One of the mad mages in the Maze references this.
