Pastor Leaves Christianity After 30 years 

Once you realize some truths you can’t look at religion the same way again. I left religion when I was in my late 30’s and now I feel it’s good to show people what the Bible really says and it’s nothing like what we were taught growing up.

I’m impressed! The councils of Nicaea have been the worst things that happened to Christianity. It’s taken a couple of Millenium, but we seem to be moving into a third schism. Another opportunity to set things right.

I can hear what you are saying. I am eager to find truth no matter where it leads. I left the “church” years ago. Best move ever. It’s a hard transition to make and it’s painful, but it’s worth it. When I reached and studied what I was taught to believe, I found out that I was sold a bad bill of goods. Thank you brother for your video and you work to help others leave the dogma of the church.

Woe to anyone who comes with a different gospel

I too started going to church as a child to learn of god, and to find help reading the bible. To learn definitions of words I didn't know. *I found nobody in the church was willing to teach me the meanings, or read the entire stories as written.* LIES EVEN TOLD OF ME IN CHURCHES! Reading it myself, I found I was in the wrong place seeking god. *GOD IS MUCH BIGGER, AND SOMETHING WE CAN'T COMPREHEND!* God would never write a book! Or dictate one. *No such thing as a chosen people when all are here!*

I relate with everything you spoke about as l am going through the same, have been for a longtime, but kept on tossing it away. l have had spiritual encounters as well, and other experiences in Christianity or through prayers in the past that made it even more harder for me to come into terms with the questions and observations l have been having regarding the Bible, God, and Jesus as a whole. My relationship with God is so personal. I've seen too many Christians lead a different life from what they preach, and so many living in fear. Constantly worrying about sin. I can't live like that.

I'm right there with you. I still go to my church, but I just go for fellowship. If most people are honest, they're getting nothing from the church that empowers them to take control of their lives. We are not critical thinkers as the pastors tell us what to think. If we're critical thinkers we would question "if the master teacher Jesus, tells us the kingdom of heaven is within us, why do we have to die to go there?". Think people. Like you I've had some experiences that caused me to question some stuff and I'm right there with you. The cognitive dissonance I'm going through is very real but I'm glad I know the truth.

Yes I agree with you, if we cannot question a religion/have a religion provide answers then it just proves that it’s not worth calling it “perfect” or “God spoken/written”. It won’t be worth worshipping, following or trusting. The God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed including the universe is the same. The question is.. in what way are we supposed to worship the only creator? If the holy books are an update of each of the four revelations, then the Quran should be the last and final. It's hard to convince other brothers and sisters to see the light when they are mostly concerned about being ridiculed by those around them not willing to accept them without giving in to the religious cult. It's also difficult when our public leaders in the black community are all pastors and reverends.

Pastor finally understands the Gospel after 30 years. What lots of people (even pastors) don't (yet) understand. God created us according to His own image and likeness. Godly. Mankind/the first Adam fell. The image of God in man got lost. That's why there is all this predicament on earth (selfishness, greed, lust, wars, sicknesses, death, etc). We are all born into that mess. For the fall of man a perfect atoning sacrifice had to be made.... that is what God did in Christ. With His own once and for all perefect sacrifice, He paid the debt for the fall of man for us, so we can be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man. An amazing act of grace and love by our creator. That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all and walked in unselfish love. And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding, power and transform us back to origin. Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come. So: The Kingdom of God already came. Through Christ, in Spiritform, in those that understand. Hence the divine healing miracles we experience. God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after in Gen 1. The image we lost in the fall of man. The image that can be freely restored by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit working IN us. What a plan. What a solution. What a love. What a God. Jesus is amazing. It is the ultimate conclusion of the word and plan of God. God came full circle. He Himself stooped down from glory to restore us back to original created value: Christlikeness. Walking in divine healing power and unselfish love. Jesus, born of the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God. The "Son" of God, the incarnated word, God in the flesh. For three years He healed all, raised the dead, casted out demons, controlled nature, spoke pure divine truth. He said: "Follow Me. If you see Me, you see the Father. The Father and I are one. The glory I have IN My Father, I give to you. It pleases the Father to give you His Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature. I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and give you explosive power. The same miracles i do, you will do too, because you will understand that the Father is IN Me and I am IN you. Freely I give you My Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely I give, freely share" Etc, etc, etc. I have experienced thousands of beautifull healing miracles through the power of Holy Spirit IN me already. Broken bones, cancers, covid, all kinds of infirmities healed in seconds. Demons manifesting and casted out by a simple "get out, in Jesus name". Jesus. De name above all names. In Him all power and wisdom is sourced and.... He calls us one with Him. God in man and man in God again. C'mon Jesus!! So.... again: God stooped down IN Christ to restore us back to Gen 1:27 were He said: "Let us make man according to our image and likeness and let them have authority.....": walk as Christ. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after and being restored to by His atoning blood for the fall of man and indwelling Holy Spirit. You are free to receive this original divine life of the ages by Holy Spirit of Christ/God. Ask Him to guide you into truth. Read the Gospel of John and fall in love with your creator. You are not made for the fall of man and its effects, but for the image/glory of God and to walk like Christ. Holy Spirit is the guide and transforming power that will get you there. Amazing grace. A big leap in faith can be made when we start realizing we are already IN Christ, IN the last Adam. Free from the fall! Loved! Growing into awareness of our new (yet old) godly identity. Changing by Holy Spirit. The most fullfilled life ever. Paul healed all on Malta. He understood and wrote: "As in the first Adam ALL died (lost the divine nature), so also ALL were made alive IN Christ to walk in Zoë (= divine life) again". "IN Christ (the last Adam) we are co-cruisified (dead to the fall and its effects), co-raised (justified/made righteousness, holy, blameless, above reproach), co-seated (one with Him)" "The fullness of deity dwells in Christ and YOU HAVE BEEN MADE COMPLETE IN HIM, who is the head of every principality and power". So.... thank you Jesus! Thank you for redeeming me from the fall of man. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that makes this new (yet old) divine life come alive in me. You are amazing! In the shadow of Peter the sick healed... He understood too and wrote: "By Gods power (Holy Spirit) and knowing Christ, we have become partakers of the divine nature and have escaped the fall of man". The divine life of the ages has been returned to us by Jesus once and for all perfect atoning sacrifice for the debt of the fall of man and His indwelling Holy Spirit in us. Jesus/God is amazing!!! Ask Him to give you revelation and change you to the way it was before the fall of man: Christlikeness. He will do so. For it is written: "the Spirit brings forth after His own kind". "I have come to give you Zoë (divine life) in abundance...."

Right now I am having some of the same thoughts, I too serve in ministry, was Baptist to my core, die hard in the faith but things are just not adding up And I want to transform in to truth verses generational teachings and opinions. I’m thinking to slowly transform my being because it’s very hard to change my belief because now it’s like the air that I breathe it has become my identity so now I’m definitely on a journey to break free

Rather interesting to hear your story You came to some rather interesting conclusions much different than the ones that I came to I can appreciate that you still seem much closer to Christianity than I am now But I guess that the main thing is that we all have to find the path that is meant for each where it can never be exactly the same as someone else

I think that people find it threatening when people leave Christianity because it isn’t for them. It makes them question their beliefs and that scares them. Those of us that have left understand that it has nothing to do with one particular church or pastor. It’s the religion as a whole and the damage done in the name of it. My parents and sister are still very religious and I don’t try to deconvert them. Spirituality is a personal choice and I honestly find the philosophical parts of Buddhism (minus all the supernatural crap) to be more in line with my values. The idea of taking responsibility for my actions and separating myself from my thoughts is more helpful than believing in demonic influence when bad stuff happens lol. You keep doing you. There will always be haters in life.

I'm on my spiritual journey so I'm starting to think that some of my belief systems based on Christianity may be causing some blockage with some things I'm things trying to manifest.

Thanks so much for your honesty. For me it was the list of "Do's and Don'ts" that made me feel inadequate and further away from God. Finally I decided to leave church, not saying everyone should, but I needed to be uninfluenced and started studying the New Covenant on my own. See in the beginning I was sold out on the unconditional love and safety in the Saviour. Although having good intentions, when churches preach law it becomes a whole legalistic religious organization that robs us of our true identity and freedom that we are supposed to have. What I found is that religion says "Fix yourself and God/we will accept you" while the original Gospel says "Come just as you are and I will give you righteousness/(okayness) as a gift". Religion says "You have to work hard to stay forgiven and right" while the true Gospel says "With a single sacrifice I have made you perfectly accepted and irreversibly forgiven for ever". Religion says "You have to work to get close to God" the Gospel says "You cant get closer to your Father as He is in you and you are in Him". Religion says "God is in love with a future version of you" while the Gospel of Grace says "Dad loves you as you are right now unconditionally and is NEVER GOING TO CHANGE in this irreversibly restored relationship". Religion says "You are not good enough" and the true Gospel of Grace says "You are fully accepted, with a new heart which is righteous, holy and blameless. That's your identity, now live from your heart and be yourself". Religion is a bunch of rules to follow as a prerequisite to acceptance versus the Gospel of Grace providing immediate irreversible acceptance which will produce the "works"/performance over time, but our performance is SECONDARY to the "Work Christ did". You said you encountered healing and growing back of limbs, etc. Have you looked into why this might have happened? Or do you just attribute it to the miraculous caused by a spirit or god (it)? I haven't experienced or witnessed anything of that magnitude. So, it is difficult to believe that a divine being did something miraculous. Was there a resurrected Jesus? I'm full of questions at the moment.

Great video brother.. I’m in kemetic science as well. Not deep or anything. I have a book called pa’ashutat (prayer book) Awesome book. They have prostrations similar to how muslims pray but slightly different. They call God, “THE ALL” Only prayer of thanksgiving to the elements which are our gifts. no doom and gloom, no begging god for stuff. Thanking “All” for life, health. The prayer is started off with the prayer of OSIRIS. I have included this practice in my daily life. And it helps my journey a lot. There are 3 obligatory prayers and 4 optional prayers. Even learned the language. I’m so thankful

I’m about ready to walk away from Christianity after 4 years of pure confusion and pointless costly sacrifices that have ruined my social life. I’ve been reduced to being isolated in my mums house at 37 and a shadow of the man I used to be. There’s no freedom in this and I don’t get it. I can’t stand the divisions in the church and I’ve seen no one raise the dead , heal the sick or cast out demons. To a degree , I’m making an excuse to sin as I wanna actually feel something. I’ve never known freedom other than my hedonistic behaviour , which granted is temporary , but better than nothing at all. I don’t want to go to hell and if we have to do something to avoid it , I don’t know what that is. Can someone help ? Thanks

Faith believe trust is what you need to a believer in christ

I left Christianity in a snap of a finger. I no longer follow their doctrine practices. But I still believe in Jesus just for the sake of believing. Right now I’m living a normal life without being either condemned or convicted of things that many Christians consider them a sin.

I know this video is a few years old- for the person who made this video, or anyone reading these comments- there is man named William Jones who is a black man of about 50 years old, who was a lifelong Christian, and an Apostle at his church, who left religion completely, and has a really great channel under his name (William Jones) where he talks about his process of leaving and debunks the claims of Christianity using his extensive Bible knowledge. His channel is good for anyone thinking of leaving religion or anyone who is having issues with it, especially if you are black/African American because he really breaks down the black church experience along with the issues unique to that group. I am obviously not black, but I found his channel very informative and find him entertaining as well because he has a good sense of humor. Give him a look. I am not affiliated with him in any way- I just want to help others find information that may help.

Bro. Stanton I get that you're on a different path. But whats confusing is that you reference so many different books and opinionated truths. You even quoted scriptures out of the bible. There is more to history than what was recorded (written). Therefore how could anyone follow something that refers to history books of your choice? My confusion is every pastor references some other books beyond the Bible. And atheists, agnostics and muslims make their opinion on what about the other religion they believe.
