@John Peña Most of the time he did but Patrice was the only guest/co-host that he really wanted to impress and be friends with. I really feel like as annoying as Opie was for years because he was the most responsible for the show, which is understandable because he thought he had take "conversation-killing phone calls from fans in order to keep people listening, after Patrice's death, he started getting paranoid about his own image because Patrice acknowledged Opie's input more than any other comedian due to him handling every interaction as a real conversation rather than just a comic trying to sell nothing but funny.
Growing up in Boston right around the same time as Patrice I can vouch for people getting robbed for their Puma, Addidas track suits and sneakers. I remember my cousin was robbed for his Addidas sneakers and had to take the subway home in socks. The humiliation changed him forever. He went from a straight edge honor roll student to skipping school and hanging with thugs. He ended up going to prison shortly after and to this day he's still in and out of prison for everything from selling drugs to attempted murder.
True, lots of good kids get bullied into the life of crime, actualy there is a ton of stuff we do just not to be shamed about it like not having nice stuff a group of friends or a girl or at least money. Its the pyramid of maslow of human needs. Not being able to have security of ones property and dignity did your cousin.

I grew up in Boston we always had someone stealing whatever we had . I remember a kid on my back porch ready to steal clothes off the clothesline. I have anger to this day from living there . There was always someone trying to chump you .

Nah Patrice always had get togethers for comedians with no family on holidays like thanksgiving and Christmas which are holidays most people are spending with family.

I worked with a guy who's sister played in the LFL. She played on the Miami team Ashley helmstetter. Everyone in the local gave him shit about it. Brought the playboy edition she was in to the job sites trying to get it signed. The LFL is fucking amazing.
Someone needs to study these hours and hours of Patrice content online. Record all his words and program his personality in an AI .....so we can hear what Patrice "might" have said about current events.
