You listen to these final patrice eps and you see that he is finally putting it all together show biz wise. Asking the right questions, getting a taste of some success with special. It’s heart breaking knowing he is going pass so soon.
@Tom Smith wow ur insanely delusional... ur in the wrong thread genius.... ur not addressing any comments but w.e the fuck is in ur warped head, ur having a conversation by urself responding to what u think ppl are saying, but to everyone else ur speaking out of context fucking nonesense Karen.
I've listened thru all Patrice episodes 4times now....I hate these episodes cause we are coming to the inevitable end, I listen and hope the ending is different it's not. Goddamn I miss Patrice
Fck your right about knowing the end is near and there's no more videos or Patrice. He sounded so much more optimistic in the first episodes and now he knows the machine is a hoe
Those callers in the beginning have a sickening case of man worship. To take time to call in and then to beg someone to unblock you on twitter is a sad existence.
Ant and Patrice episodes were pretty much all awesome. Current O&J relies too much on Sam and Troyquan types who can barely be considered to belong on the air. Miss Ant and Patrice. Especially when they had access to intern David. Anyway, some of us noticed Opie does best as The Facilitator of Funny; he himself -IS- funny at times but his bestwork usually was putting other funnymans (Anthony, Jimmy, Colin, Patrice, Burr, CK, etcetc) at a mic.
supposed to says Opie is funny (just not as consistently so as those he was facilitating), but didn't know youtube comment "dash word dash" would present word as struck. Anyway back to comedians/content, I keep zoning out when Lewis Black talks, have to ffwd him at times.
What's funny is the guy Ant blocked for telling Opie to hurry back really was saying "hey, hurry back, we miss you Opie!" and Anthony was like "fuck you, if you like Opie than I want nothing to do with you". You know that's what happened.
Patrice O'neal was the greatest comedian's favorite comedian. The fact that Norm Macdonald said on national television that Patrice was his favorite comedian of all time shows how deep he hit the funniest people in the world.
That's a great list. I'd put Burr in there if it wasn't for his last 3 specials. I think having kids fucked up his sense of humor lol I still love Chappelle, he's just more introspective now and I'd put Doug Stanhope at 3 or 4 on my list.
@@21kburd oh man, Bill Hill back in the day was on my list...when he got married and Nia refused to take his last name, I couldn’t listen to Bill anymore And yes I call Burr, Bill Hill now cause that’s his wife’s last name
haha.. anthony thinks the occupy walstreet isnt serious cause theyre not killing and thrashing shit. but if they did hed be the first to yell thugs, misfits, blacks
The Occupy Wall street movement was so ridiculous because it was so unorganized. On one hand you had people voicing serious concerns, on the other you had mindless anarchists just looking to cause trouble, and everything in between.. How can you expect to make any actual impact on society when your movement is represented by so many, often conflicting, views?
Maybe its just me but i sense most of conversations are 2-4 levels above Greg's brain wave. He opens his mouth and drags the conversation to a screeching halt throwing an anchor in the canoe
I think he and Ant had great appreciation for Patrice. Opie wasn't really funny but had to guide a show with some of the most funny and socially observant people in the world. You're telling me that isn't hard? Who do you think could have done better?
He cares so much about callers and commenters that I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s a big part of the reason that he has lost his mind , he has probably read millions of hateful comments
And she was just the beginning of the hot girls being stand up's era. Patrice would have been livid in recent years. But I think she is actually pretty talented even though she got opportunities immediately.
Bro the first segment is like they predicted the future.. Where people go through all your tweets and cancel you. A Supreme Court of Twitter, even Ant said Supreme Court lol.
1:27:25 Patrice uses the actual definition of fascism, which is a nice change of pace here in the future when apparently everything is. He was a smart guy.
