Fun Fact: Paul McDonald was awarded as the best color commentator in Southern California in 2002 and 2004

Paul McDonald was a left-handed quarterback before Steve Young and Michael Vick. I never heard of this guy before and just watching this for the first time today.

Macdonald finally got his chance and started every game in 1984. The following year high profile University of Miami QB Bernie Kosar was given the Job and Macdonald never play Quarterback again in a NFL regular season game.

1 of the more underrated USC qbs, while starting from 1978-1979 he posted a 22-1-1 record while winning the 1978 National Championship & debatably the 1979 National Championship as well.

Yeah, Macdonald pitching the ball to Heisman Trophy winner Charles White for the sweep, or those short little West Coast offensive passes to White coming out of the backfield were a pretty devastating combination.

Pretty tough situation to take over for Brian Sipe. Then the Head Coach goes and things don't go great.

Actually when Schottenheimer took over the team in 84 the Browns began to win. Bernie Kosar's arrival the following season spelled the end of Macdonald's stint with the Browns.
