Absolutely beautiful product that works great with the Sony A7. The V3 and the new P.O.V. plate doesn't feel quite as secure as the standard V3 plate but seems to do it's job so far. This is a serious game changer for rock climbing in terrain where speed and camera safety are critical for capturing scenes, not losing the camera, and being efficient while belaying someone (of course getting their approval and locking them off). The POV kit will be used for the RX100 and GoPro.
Hope a V4 will come one day with the return of the tensioning screw of the V2 (which I own and which I am very happy with!), it's nearly essential for MTB carrying to avoid jiggling noise.
i've bought capture v3. But i'ts nor easy to find position for capture in backpack. also in your video, the sigma lens (near lenshood) strikes again and again versus the metallic part
Can I put the Pro Pad on a backpack strap but in the same way you demonstrated for the waste belt? Perhaps then I can protect my precious compagnon leather bag from getting scratched from the capture? Obviously I just need to set the orientation of the bottom clip vertically to allow the lens to face down. Would that work?
There should be a way to get rid of the play between camera and clip. Something like after it's mounted, there's something that tightens to eliminate the play. It's just annoying cause I can hear the clip moving around when I walk. Think about implementing it for v4.
Hi there, the Plate Lock which performed this action was removed from Capture V2 for V3 as it was an underused and often misused (as a safety lock) feature. Additionally, inadvertent tightening of the Plate Lock also could make it difficult to insert or remove the plate from the clip.
Do you think I am able to use this with my GoPro and my scuba gear, backpack style? I will be rolling all over the place in the water, do you think it will keep my gopro in place and keep it from being lost?
Ok I bought the silver one. The capture v3... I also have the Field Pouch. Please please explain to me how to get the capture onto the field pouch. Do I need to take a knife and cut 5mm off each side? Please explain.

Great tips and video. Just a question, if I have the plate of the Clutch Camera Hand Strap (its the square one), will it work with the Capture v3? Or do I have to buy the special plate for the Capture?

I’m using Capture V3 as well as Manfrotto BeFree Carbon SKU: MKBFRC4-BH the tripod has attached ball head with a plate 200LT-PLsupplied in the set. Will this dual plate compatible with my tripod as well as Capture V3? Please help
Reason I’m very confuse is due to my local dealer here said it won’t be compatible while on the PD website said it is compatible. Sadly local dealer isn’t happy to open the box to let me trial the compatibility.
It is possible to use the new V3 Standard Plate with the Capture V2 if you use the V3 Hex Bolts, but as the majority of users won't necessarily have this as an option, it is not something that we are actively messaging.

You certainly can, you just need to ensure that you consider which of the anchor locations you attach the clutch to the bottom of the camera so it doesn't interfere with the insertion of the Plate into the Clip.
The Tripod Plate works with ARCA Compatible Tripods. Please see the website for a list of supported tripods and advice what to do if your tripod is not supported (plate stacking).
Your prices are much too high. The prices sold on Kicker Starter should be what should be sold at retail. Also many of your bags sold on Kick Starter are resold on eBay. People don’t seem to want to keep them.
