I was on a trip one time long ago and I made a wrong turn. Strange thing that. I ended up in a small town called Indecisive. Terrible place to get out of. I couldn't decide which way to go. Weird stuff. Could Levy have won if not for time? It makes me wonder how he can win in a tournament TC without time pressure. Anyway, Black was equal or better the whole way. That means a lot.
last 2 vids I watched of Gotham Chess or Gotham Games (and really only 2 vids I've watched) I noticed something. He says in BOTH vids "I don't know what that does". Could be a clue why you haven't got to GM yet? You need to know what a move does! I don't. I admit, but you need to know if you are striving for a GM still. I noticed also you get too bipolar. When you're losing you pout and when you suddenly think you have a decisive position, you gloat. Just my observations and I'm sure they're not worth much, given I am not really any chess player. Just wanted to click into this vid for a minute and boom, there it was AGAIN. All the same emotions. But I guess it's not hampering you that much if you have a 2800 rating online for some time limit.
When he says "I don't know what that move does", he doesn't mean he has no understanding of it, he means he doesn't understand why the opponent chose that move. This could be because the opponent has a clever idea that he missed, but it could also just be because the opponent made a bad move. As far as the bipolar thing goes, he is trying to be entertaining. There is a reason he is the biggest ches youtuber ever though he isn't the best chess player on RU-vid, it's because he is entertaining.
Stistatics say youll "Return to the mean." Youll lose a bunch of elo, not because you got worse but because this week was a little lucky. But even then you'll hit this peak again and pass it soon.
