A righteous cover! Not many singers can perform this song the way it was written--you have to put the pedal through the floor on the chorus. Eddie's vocals are superb, love the lights too. Thanks for posting.

Yoooooooo..... Y'all 2 just got my sub big time!! This might be the best reaction video I've ever seen. I'm very familiar with both versions of the song a ninja very good song but that's not what got me. What got me was watching the emotions in both of your faces and bodies. The two of you were great together. But watching the young lady react to the emotions and Eddie's voice as well as the music and see how deeply it was affecting her was very very moving. When people watch reaction videos this is what we're looking for. We're looking for someone to feel the music that we love the way that we felt it when we first heard it. And sister, you nailed it. Love this song. Was prominent in one of the rare, decent Adam Sandler movies (of the same title IIRC) in which he played a dramatic role about a man who lost his family in 911. I however, even like it more than The Who's version. I'm also not a huge grunge or PJ guy but I know a good song when I hear it and "Black" is also my favorite by them.

Thank you for selecting this track. Obviously, huge credit to the Who (Pete Townshend) who wrote this back in the day. But, to me, Eddie Vedders performance here gives it so much more depth and emotion. It's more intense in a way. That is in no way to discredit Daltrey, because he breathed the first life into this song, but I prefer PJ's version. But I'm a HUGE PJ- fan, so I an biased as ****. I think Techmoan had one of his 20+ min videos copyrighted for 11 seconds of music. Those 11 secs were part of an old radio commercial, advertising a new album by someone or other. This whole copyright thing is completely getting out of hand.

The Who is eddies absolute favorite band and they debuted this song, recorded for a movie, at the vhi rock honors for The Who and this was a HUGE deal and honor for him and the band. Something you need to know about this song and it's placement on the Quadrophenia album, on the previous couple of songs, Jimmy (the main character on the album) contemplated and was very close to committing suicide. Something caused him to see the light and finally realized the most important thing of all is love. Hence, Love Reign O'er Me. Great job by Pearl Jam on this one. I think Eddie Vedder might even be a bigger Who fan than I am...which is almost impossible.

I generally hate Who and Pink Floyd cover songs I don't think anyone does the songs justice, and this is my favorite Who song, of all time. I heard Roger Daltry sing this live. He gave me chills. This version is OK. I don't hate it, but I like the original more. The only Pink Floyd cover I like is Nightwish's version of High Hopes off the End of an Era live CD. I think you would like that also. They get the PF vibe right. Also, Marco sings it.

I agree Eddie V is probably the only one to cover that song and pull it off but the original by THE WHO is better, Keith Moon’s drumming on the original added a layer to the song that’s missing on Peral Jams version, HalfLifeSistah needs to hear “Behind Blue Eyes “ by THE WHO and by the way Y’all are Great!
