I recently contracted an intestinal infection while in the Caribbean, and I can safely say that the Peepsi Gravy had the same consistency and color as what was coming out of me for a week.

I bought Peepsi a little while ago, and never did I think I would see it in sausage form. This is simply evidence that Mr. Sausage thinks on a higher plane of existence.

For the liquid sasuages, try to marinate the meat in what you are trying to make the sausage out of for a night so the meat takes on the flavor and you don't have to worry about the liquid leaking out.

You could try pouring the drink into a saucepan and reducing it back to syrup over low heat until all the water is gone, for future beverage based sausages. That stuff is strong so just a little bit will ruin the same amount of pork as a whole bottle of the un-reduced stuff.

For future liquid-based sausages, try using the liquid as a marinade for the meat and then turning the actual liquid into more of a sauce, like you did here with the corn starch. For sweeter stuff, boil it with some sugar to make a sorta simple syrup.

You could tell him to make a reduction, you could say “Hey Mr Sausage add the cornstarch to the liquid before heating it up, or make a slurry so it thickens evenly you absolute madman!” but is that really keeping with the spirit of these masterpieces? Aren’t we all just lumpy peepsi trying to make it through the day?

So this technique is very similar to a technique in some Asian restaurants to make meatballs juicier. They use beef stock and gelatin because the gelatin dissolves into the meat and releases its juices inside the meatball. This might actually do really well boiled/sous vide to cook the pork, and then briefly pan fried, if the Peepsi flavor wasn't terrible. My recommendation to actually make this work is to marinate the meat in small pieces, in a concentrated syrup of the liquid. Then I would say to flush liquid down the grinder as you grind the meat, to really work it in and ease the strain on your poor grinder. Then drain the excess liquid and stuff your sausage.

Every couple of years, my mom gives me some Peeps on Easter. And it's always been just long enough that I've forgotten how awful peeps are, so I eat them and instantly regret it. And now I find out someone actually tried to make Peeps flavored Pepsi, which honestly is the only way I can imagine to make Pepsi taste worse than it already does.
