Hi l just finished watching your video on seacliff l life in East Lothian can l tell you that l used to love walk around east Lothian but I can't as I have arthritis in my knees (wee Boy from gorebridge and bid my time with the Scottish wild life trust) keep it up
Hi Peter, really glad the Seacliff video brought back good memories. It's a wonderful part of the world. I do sympathise with your knees. My father had his second knee replacement cancelled just before lockdown and is suffering a lot, which is always hard to see. Funnily enough he used to be chairman of The Scottish Wildlife Trust which he really enjoyed. Really hope you get the chance to go back soon. Warmest best wishes, David :-)
David Wheater's films are always worth watching more than once. Though a Glasgow man I have always loved the east-central Lowlands. Penicuik House is haunting in its desolation and ruined grandeur. What will happen to it? This feels like a great day-out: I am writing on the last day of January, 2021, when we are all in coronavirus lockdown.
Hi Jack, many thanks for your kind words about the video. It's a great place to visit, the grounds are really lovely. I think there have been plans to rescue the house over the years, but I suspect it will be maintained as it is. Hope you have a lovely week and thanks for commenting. Best wishes, David
