nope I don't agree but then I didn't like this kind of Dracula. for me he radiated zero power zero charisma for me there's only one Dracula and if you can't get someone who approaches the power and Majesty of Christopher Lee then you may as well forget it.

I agree with you. The relation between Venessa and Dr sweet had the potential to continue more and more episodes. It ended too fast! I usually rewatch the episode of these two characters and John Clare too. I really need more episodes of them.😅

Could't agree more. I've only wached 6 episodes of #3 here in my country. I also got fooled by his Sweet looks and was absolutely shocked when I saw that He is even greater danger to Vanessa....... OTP Love this guys hands, they are so... strong and..sexy..confident touches when he caresses Vanessa... ooh...

Dexter just never really recovered after Season 1 and the loss of Rudy / Brian. Season 4 & 5 were very good I felt, but overall ... Season 1 maintained a shining exemplar of what made great TV.

I know. I read an article once on the differences between Dexter and Breaking Bad. It seems like the writers didnt have an understanding of their main protaganist. In the end he was a serial killer and deserved to be punished. Breaking Bad knew that Walt was a bad man.

i actually really liked season 2.

ugh i like the effect he has on Vanessa (I mean her smiles: Dr Sweet is good for her !!!!!) but this is penny dreadful and it's Vanessa so I don't trust anyONE)

+TheAngelaAllison Yeah! She was in such state after everything that happened by the end of last season, and he's like a ray of sunshine for her. Of course he can't show much how interested he is in Vanessa, other way she would run away from him. He must be patient, but his real personality would appear soon. I hope Ethan comes back soon to London. Vanessa needs her protective wolf by her side.

+Beste Karaca because as Mina said in season one 'The Master wants her for his queen', that's what he wants her for. He wants absolute control over her and he's not gonna stop for anything.

+Beste Karaca In season 2 we learned that Lucifer and Dracula are brothers, and that when God vanished Lucifer to hell, he banished both fallen brothers. One was banished to hell, the other two earth. As long as these two brothers are seperated they are not powerful enough to overthrough God, but together they can. If either one of them can win Vanessa, either through body or soul, they can overpower god. I am not sure what makes Vanessa so special but for some reason she is the key. She is the egyptian godess Amunette reincarnated. Hence, both Lucifer and Dracula want her as their lover because she would then become the mother of all evil and bring about the end of the world. At least that is from my understanding.

+Jeramie Poligrates I think that, for a show where there are only 9 episodes this season (it hurts my heart thinking about that), this info been revealed so early it's a good thing. It was pretty obvious that he was Dracula (at least for me), so now we can see him play Vanessa to fall for him.

+Gangrel Aussie I'm wondering the same thing. that creature was way scarier with the pointy teeth and red eyes barely human. Dracula is supposed to look human I guess but how come the others looked more like demons?

My guess here was that maybe these vampires (who were leaders, obviously) were very very old. Centuries, at least. Maybe the transformation into a "normal" vampire takes only a few days (as with Renfield, his eyes were still human during the first few days), but if a vampire manages to survive long enough they develop further, into these... things. They have lost every human characteristic they once had. And since we saw only two of them, I am guessing that they were the only ones of that considerable age. I am still wondering, though, what in the world happened to the surviving vampires after the end of the last season (since at least a few seem to have survived, including Renfield)? ...

+Leslie Pakulski . His English accent is spot-on, isn't it? Very cultured, very suave - but then CC has a beautiful speaking voice in his native accent. So good to see him here!

I agree with everything you said except for Underworld sucking. I liked it a lot (though the fourth did indeed suck).

+nervmeister You're forgetting that you've only seen this actor pretend to be completely not intimidating. Camargo was terrifying on Dexter and he didn't look much different besides longer hair and no beard. In addition, Camargo matches Dracula's description in the book (at his youngest-looking) almost exactly. Tall, skinny, mean-looking, dark beard, middle aged, etc.

+rachsarn ev I've been seeing this criticism a lot lately but I think people have to keep in mind Vanessa feels like she's deeply misunderstood in society so naturally she's going to gravitate towards other people who she feels might understand her, might sympathize with her, or at the very least won't make her feel like such a freak. Its not that she has "terrible taste in men" per say it's that she gravitates towards outsiders because she feels like an outsider herself. And really that need for acceptance is basic human instinct. It's why we all naturally gravitate towards others we feel a likeness to. Also even if she wants a nice normal relationship, let's face it, she's never going to have one. The dark forces surrounding her will make sure of that. She's the "Mother of Evil". She will never get to live in peace and just be happy. But if she can at least find others who won't judge her or abandon her out of fear of the darkness both surrounding her and inside of her, then at least she won't have to walk through life alone.

oh... i am not criticizing in fact i applaud. kind of. except problem is, she can't catch a break. i don't think her poor taste in men is her fault really. evil just comes to her like several horrible coincidences. also don't think Vanessa can be with a normal guy, they'll be dead after two eps max. or run for the hills.
