The only way women’s sports can grow is if more women start watching women’s sports. That’s how men’s sport developed into a massive industry because of high male viewership.
Woman are in general not interested in watching any sports, maybe only 10% is interested to watch sports. Woman rather to watch romantic series, dramatic reality shows and that kind of stuff.
I'm a 53 year old female. I have never watched women's sports. How dull and lacklustre. I used to watch summer tennis with my father as a little girl. We always turned the TV off once the mixed doubles or the women's came on. Even as a little 7 year old girl I knew there was a difference that could not be surmounted by women.
Men watch men sports, fewer men watch women sports. Very few women watch men sports, almost no woman watches women sports. You must support and create your own sports economy here, why expect to receive the same money if you are not paying and earning the same money.
womens sports is lesser quality, lesser play. I think last week the US womens olympic soccer team played a 4th tier UK mens team and lost 12-0. I mean, there is no comparison. They are no good.
What you mean is Americans don't support women's sports. Because in Brazil, Corinthians vs Internationale (40k) attendance, (Spain) Barcelona played local rivals Real Madrid in what was tagged as el classico in Female soccer to a 90k plus capacity stadium this year and it's not even the highest attendance in women's soccer. It is also more than the higher than attendance at any World cup game which is still around 90k plus. Your WNBA are lucky if they get more than 20k. So speak for yourself not the rest of the world. We actually like women and support them. We don't dress up boys to look like women and then make the the face of a beer brand.
