The Reddit thread on the TCG Player shipping rate increase from .99 to 1.22 had my blood pressure up, I stopped reading after about the 3rd comment on how the increase is destroying players and making us all rich......it costs me and average of $1.25 already to ship not including paper and ink, the amount of people that think shipping should be free because "we are gouging them" and pocketing it as profit is mind blowing, if you break even, you're an evil Scrooge McDuck swimming in a pool of gold coins 🤣

It doesn't matter how many times you say this, everyone will still assume game stores are rolling in money and out to rip you off! Same thing with how once you have a bunch of subscribers on RU-vid, everyone thinks you're making bank. It'd be nice if the rose-colored glasses these people wear actually reflected reality!😬

Dude I feel you on the first part of the video. I barely make 5-600 sales a month on TCGplayer & people think 600 orders translates to fat stacks but after fees and shipping I may be able to put gas in my car & get enough stamps for the next round 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’m working two jobs just to try and save up the extra money to rent the space for my shop… also without a location I can’t get allocations with a distro for MTG or YGO so I’m basically stuck with Pokémon which is a crapshoot to rip for singles.

You have always been honest when it comes to the losses involved, I think you can celebrate the rare big wins when they come up as you please! Hopefully more wins in the future, but man they are pumping these sets out most players just going to get singles of what they need.

It was me that mentioned the fall out price it might be a local thing though due to pricing differences in different states.. But our local store was selling them for 300 a collectors box.

Wise move, I cracked a few play booster cases of Karlov last week, listed them on Tuesday and by Saturday sold around 90% of all singles $1 and up by Saturday. The lands right now are red hot, or at least they were going into Fallout Release weekend. No customers are buying play booster boxes to crack, they only want the singles.

Very true on the revenue take, it's always amusing when people are shocked at how much we bring in monthly, what they don't realize is how small it is as a net profit and how little of it is actually FCF after everything.

The second wave of releases of fallout collector boxes was 300 a pop on amazon, today it is 305. Crazy right.
