About a week after my dad passed away I woke gently in the night to see what I can only explain as a group of small lights slowly floating just above my bedside table. It felt very peaceful, then they were gone within seconds. I felt very peaceful after too. I truly believe that my dad was letting ke know he is okay. Thankyou for your comment, I now feel more reassured. 💞

Not what made me believe but my most vivid encounter. My grandpa passed from cancer and a few days to a week later I was using his old truck to get to work and on the highway I was listening to one of his favorite songs when it came on. Got a feeling and looked to my right on the passenger seat. My grandpa was there... not the cancer stricken man that I had seen slowly lose all weight and unable to talk. He was healthy and smiling. I felt so calm but did start crying because it was as though I could have reached out and touch him. I never got to say goodbye before he passed and so I did then while looking at him. It was only a moment even though it felt like hours. I looked to the road and back and he was gone. I have seen weird things before but nothing like that. Normally I feel things. Sudden emotions that are not mine. Seeing a glowing white shirt(only the shirt) in a pitch black forest moving like someone was running and was above the ground. Friend and I even tried to debunk it because we both saw it. The spot it was at was the middle of a swampy area more than 4 feet deep. So no one could have been there. And how was a shirt so white and bright. All children in my family have seen things but as we grow older we loose the ability normally. There is also my ghost pets. I have had multiple cats and dogs over the years. And I got used to even when a cat isn't on the bed I feel a cat jump up and get comfy even the weight of it. Got to used to it. Moved in with my girlfriend. About a year of sharing a bed later we were talking about ghosts. And she asked me if I feel something on the bed even when no cat is there (only have a cat right now) she was feeling the ghost cats and or dogs. I apologized for having not said anything about it and she was ok with it just very confused until we talked about it haha

STORY 4 - when OP said she walked into her therapists office and he was unusually quiet, I genuinely thought that the story was gonna end with her having a therapy session with her therapists ghost, only to find out he'd passed once she left the office :/ I'm really glad this story went a completely different direction and the reason her therapist was quiet was coz her brothers ghost was in the room protecting her. Honestly imo it's really sad but also really sweet that her brother is still protecting her and it looks like he's been doing that since before he passed. This story really hit different for me.

I grew up in a haunted house. A native burial ground was nearby, it was next to an old swamp, in an old plantation town. The house itself was used for many things over the centuries, including a morgue. People were also murdered in that house. People throughout the generations all had stories to tell of things they saw and heard. I could tell so many stories of my own and of relatives. I think the scariest was the baby, which thankfully I never encountered. Basically you'd hear a baby screaming from upstairs. My uncle who was a cop heard it and literally jumped out of a window. The whole family slept in one room with our one tv turned up to full volume. I slept in a sleeping bag on the floor lol. We would try to hold it all night because to pee you had to leave the room and walk down the hall. When I was brave enough to do it I would usually see "shadow people" in the kitchen. I later found out this was something other people in the past claimed to see. I'd see people walking around in our yard, but then they'd just be gone when I blinked or looked away. The yard was huge and open, no place to hide quickly. Honestly I could go on and on, but this is getting long enough lol. I still call myself a skeptic, but once you've heard your great-grandpa singing like he always did, even though he's been dead for years, it kind of stays with you. Also doesn't help that a witch doctor conjured spirits to watch over me when I was a baby.

Yo that sounds simulor to what was my house like very simulor details but not the. Same but basically the same story’s with some different parts like the baby was a toddler boy 2 or 3 I think and a naked 7 yo girl don’t ask me why she was but that’s how it was told I she came to my bed 5 times I was never scared it was super calming I don’t know why but it was I never saw the boy though shadow people yeah but not in the yard just in the living room witch we didn’t go in often anyways and they were only at 2:04 anyways the toddler crying was the wors girl sed it was because he saw his intyor family tortured raped and killed before he was he was also tortured and raped. Him and his sister were molested and there parents were watching befor getting killed I guess that why the girl was always naked but that’s the only differences

I relate to the person with their cat. My cat was very young and didn't get to have a lot of time. It still feels unfair that she died so early. I didn't handle it well and still cry wen I think of her. The night I got back home from burying her on my uncle's property, I feel the couch I was sleeping on (I had no bed at the time) suddenly decompress at my feet, just like the feeling of her jumping onto the couch to sleep with me. She loudly purred while walking from my feet all the way to my shoulder to lay down. I habitually go to pet her as a good night and to help her settle, and nothing was there. I looked beside me and nothing. It was sad, but I still felt comforted to have that last moment. I never believed in ghosts before (like full-blown atheist, when our bodies go we go), but that plus a couple other experiences has led me to believe there's something we don't know or understand yet about death. I've chosen not to make any assumptions about it and just accept the experiences I've had.

Not long after one of my cats died I was in bed and missing him. All of a sudden I felt like my cat had jumped on the bed, turned around several times and settled down in the spot right behind my knees where he usually slept. It definitely made me feel better, and comfortable about losing him.

The cat one hit me hard. I have too experienced the mattress compression thing. It lasted two years!! People say it is because I have a memory foam mattress. Sure, but it does not explain why it suddenly started the day he died, lasted 2 years, every evening and then suddenly stopped, not to mention right after I told my Charlie I was good now and he can pass on. It has been 10 years now, still miss him.

I had a "ghost" cat do this as well in our last home. It happened every few weeks. We had a cat of our own so the first few times it happened I didn't think much of it. I thought our cat came in the room, jumped on the bed, and curled up next to me. When I'd go to reach for him he wasn't there. Our cat spent a lot of nights outside because we lived in a field and he liked to hunt things at night, this cat would visit when he was out. After quite a few instances I thought I was going crazy, then I brought it up to my husband and he said he was having the same thing happen! We kind of adopted the ghost cat as our invisible friend after that. Spent 5 years there but he didn't follow us to the new house. I hope the new owners are taking good care of him.

It happens to me. Pretty sure i am just that used to having cats on my bed that when they aren't, my brain still expects it. It'll probably happen in like five minutes anyway. Follow that up with you actively making yourself feel more of it by expecting it.

This isn't me but my dad. My dad was a diehard atheist. He refused (not just didn't, he REFUSED) to believe in anything supernatural. I'm just like him, but when it comes to ghosts, I really have no choice but to believe in them. I'm the reason my dad ended up believing in them too bc of a few situations that he just couldn't explain. It started with me telling him about the ghost of a lady named Jeanne in my room. My dad thought nothing of it at first, but I guess that story stayed at the back of his mind for years bc eventually, he meets this couple who knew the previous owner of the house (a Catholic priest), and as they reminisce, they mention how the priest had a live-in maid that exhibited some odd behavior, always quiet and never speaking to anyone. (This is relevant bc my description of the ghost lady included her always staring at her feet and having her lips sewn shut - she was terrifying for me as a child, but I quickly learned that she was completely harmless and stopped being scared of her after a while.) I wasn't there so I'm only going off of what my dad told me when he came back home, but he asked the couple if they knew her name and what she looked like, and the first thing he did when he saw me after that was to ask me if I remembered the ghost lady and to describe her to him again. He goes livid. My description matches perfectly with the one he was just given by the couple. Down to her name. My dad knows there's absolutely no way I could've known about Jeanne when I was 10 and first told him about her. The next incident happened when I was 12. My parents bought a lodge next to a lake. I hated going there. When my parents asked why, I said it was because the neighbour (whom they'd befriended) was being followed by a shadow and just standing around him made me feel depressed. They thought I was joking (well, my mom did, my dad was just worried) and just saying that to have an excuse not to come with them anymore. The neighbour ended up unaliving himself. In a pretty violent way as well. And then I told my dad that I could still see him there, and said that he would stick around until he was sure his wife and son would be alright without him. It took about two years, and I never went back there after that, so again, I had no way to know what was going on, but somehow I knew when he left. I told my dad about a week later, and he remembered that on the day I said he left, his wife opened up about her grief with my parents, which she hadn't done at all (my parents led the search party to try and find her husband when he went missing, so they were close) for the past two years and he thought that was odd that it came out so suddenly after all this time. He couldn't explain how tf I knew. I just did. When I was 13, I had the sudden thought that my uncle (my dad's brother) was going to die within a year. We were at the end of August. I told my dad I had a vision that we would bury my uncle on the 31st of July next year. In November, we learned that my uncle had stage 4 lung cancer. He died on the 20th of July the following year. We buried him on the 31st. When I was 14, my parents got married. At the wedding ceremony, I saw both of my grandfathers attending (both of them died 22 years before I was born, mind you, I had no idea what they even looked like), and each of them gave me a message to relay to my parents. They talked about things I couldn't have possibly known or been told about, and after that, both of my parents were convinced I could see and talk to ghosts (which, I mean, is technically what kept happening, but that was the last piece of evidence they needed to believe me). I never told my dad I knew when and how he would die. That one I kept for myself. But I knew years before he had his own cancer diagnosis, and he died the day I knew he would. Knowing what would happen didn't help me prepare for the grief, but at least I knew I needed to cherish the time I did have left with him before he passed away. It's been 9 years since and I'm still struggling some days. The only comfort I find is the fact that he hasn't contacted me this whole time when he knows he could've, which tells me he died without regret. Anyway, bc I don't want to end this on a depressive note, I'll also add that I convinced a lot more people by doing this sort of stuff to them (talking about things in their lives I shouldn't know about) and some reactions I got have been pretty funny.

So I don't know if there was ever a time when I didn't believe in ghosts. Like in some of these stories, not all ghosts are evil/want to cause harm. Yes it can be freaky but I also weirdly find it cool. My Story: It happened when I was somewhere between the ages of 8 and 11 ish (I honestly don't remember when for sure). I was coming home from play rehearsal and as we turned the corner we saw a bunch of police lights and found out that two houses down (the corner house of the next block) was a Wisconsin most wanted person. My mom sent me upstairs to her room and told me to pick "a long movie". Since it was Christmas I picked the Tom Hanks Polar Express. NOW TO THE GHOST PART. I had shut the door Completely !!! but part way through the movie the door opened and I felt TWO masses go the other side of my mom's king bed and one of them jumped up and curled up next to me -- My mom's dog whom I never got to meet since she dies when I was too young to remember. The other, I later come to realize was one of my grandfathers who was military, turned away from the bed and faced the wall (which was the direction of the police stand off). They stayed there for I don't know how long. But then I felt the dog jump down, and then both walked back around the bed to the door and SHUT IT. A few seconds later, my mom comes in and tells me it's safe. I will always tell this story as proof of ghosts. They made sure I stayed safe that night.

After my grandma passed away, I kept getting these little messages after seeing a silver music gift present for grandkids in the paper, like a mention of a silver music box in a movie trailer or a book accidentally being sent to our house called the silver music box. We bought the box, and I put a note in it. When I woke up, my room smelled like my nana’s perfume, which hadn’t been manufactured in years. The note had a paw print on it, the same size as my nana’s old dog’s paw who had passed a year before she did. I was also once walking away from class and I knew that someone was walking beside me- I could feel their presence, see movement at the corner of my eye. I thought it was my friend until my actual friend called out from behind me and I turned around way from whoever was next to me. Upon seeing them, I did a double take, but no one was close enough to me and there was no where to hide. No one else saw them, but my friend told me that she felt an intense feeling of wrong ness, like if she let me walk away I might never walk back. I didn’t feel malice, but I guess she knows better because she can see spirits after she fell down the stairs. I.e. she asked me if I used to have a dog (I did) and described him to me. She said she saw him hanging around me now and then.

I’ve had three cats that we had to put down over the years due to either breakdown of health due to being mad old (two were over 20) and the other for cancer. I have a hundred stories, but the ones which align with some in this video... My female black lab visited me in my room the night after she died being hit by a vehicle. I received from somewhere lots of information about choices and the future as a child, that were always ignored by the adults around me. Among the warning I was compelled to provide would have prevented a family member from a debilitating injury, would have kept my neighbor from witnessing her father's death, would have prevented a car accident that claimed a childhood friend, and may have helped diagnose cancer sooner and perhaps save someone's leg. I had conversations with a native miqmaq man while fishing the mountain streams where I grew up. Found out as an adult that man had died a decade before I was born. Apparitions and shadows galore throughout my entire life. But the cowboy and horse in Dodge City was the most vivid and tipped his hat to me.

I've always been a skeptical person, and I tend to question everything that doesn't have good evidence. My best friend is fairly spiritual, and they believe in ghosts. One day, we were on a video call (we live hours away so it's hard to meet up), and it stretched into the wee hours of the morning. At something like 2:30 to 3 a.m. - original, I know - I saw a figure that looked like it was made of smoke or shadows dash from one point in my vision to another while I was chatting with my friend. Que home intruder mode. I was freaking out, I ran to my kitchen to get a serrated knife (it's intimidating and would hurt the most), but I knew that it would do nothing. My friend was able to calm me down. I wouldn't say that I believe in ghosts now, but I definitely won't call anyone crazy over them anymore.

I dont believe ghosts exist at all, but I don't people are crazy. Sometimes our minds construct something to fit what we expect. In your instance, you were probably freaking the fuck out because its 3:00 AM and hallucinated. I remember waking up one night and was creeped the fuck out because I saw a dark figure by my dresser. I turned on the lights and low and behold, it was birthday balloons. I had hallucinated it breathing because I saw it sway side to side from the fans. We sometimes make shit up in our heads. Its totally normal to happen time to time, but not if its a regular, vivid occurence. Our brains are both incredible and absolutely retarded.

My family is full of "sensitive" people and we all firmly believe that something about dreaming and sleeping just makes you more vulnerable to spirits/ghosts. I actually dreamed about my cousin a few years ago and didn't think anything of it. I actually didn't recognize him as he had passed in 2011 Christmas morning in a car accident in his home state and the last time we saw or spoke with each other it was 2009 and I was maybe 8 years old and he was 17. Well, later that evening I'm talking with my mom as we're cleaning out some old photo albums and I saw a picture of my cousin and it clicked that it was him in my dream, but before I could say anything my mom asked to see the picture so she could send a copy of it to my aunt as it was my cousin's birthday that day. I ended up crying really hard later and poured an extra cup of tea and left it out for him before I went to bed. He had hugged me really hard in the dream and didn't let go for a few minutes. I didn't get to know you well growing up J.R. but I hope you're at peace man.

Personally I believe I have experience things that I can’t really explain, and I do try and explain them since I don’t like the idea of my house being haunted or being watched. But when I was young like 6-8 years old-ish, I would refused to go into my house if I was alone. I felt incredibly paranoid and watched being in there, to the point I would rather stay outside in the dark, and in pouring rain, instead of getting inside. On the rare occasions I did go inside, I would only be in my parents room and even then I didn’t feel good. I would run to and from the room, so I wouldn’t be anywhere else for long. On some occasions, I felt what I can only describe as my fight or flight screaming at me to run for dear life… and then one day it stopped. Almost a decade went by and I experienced nothing… that is until freshman year, when I was preparing for exams. I suddenly start seeing what I can only describe as shadow like people, peaking their heads into my room, staring at me for a second until I realised their there and disappearing. I’ve tried to see it it could have been my hair or something, but nothing can recreate what I saw. On top of that: it didn’t stop. For a month I would see them at least 2-3 times a day and only when I was alone. Around summer break it slowed down a lot, but I would still sometimes see them, and mistake them for my parents. I had eventually gotten use to them, since they only sometimes peaked in and didn’t give me that paranoid feeling like when I was younger… But start of sophomore year, they had stopped showing up and I didn’t think much of it. But a week into the sophomore year as I’m getting ready for a school field trip, walking down the hallway from my bedroom, when I feel the exact same fight or flight response screaming at my to run. I got got some strong flashbacks form when I was younger, that came back to me after that. I was a little unsure of going back into our house after that, but I haven’t felt or seen anything since that, and i don’t know if I should have considered that a “goodbye for now” or something like that.

I have a little story about a ghost that follows me around all the time. I call him Michael but I am not sure that it's his real name because he does not behave always like angels should. He is extremely gentle and affectionate with me and he always cuddles me when is time to bed: he is warm and I can feel is "body" against mine, but he is not the same with others people. In fact he scared first a couple of kids and then some adults that looked like they were about to run away. Plus I know a lot of dogs where I live and they are super friendly with me; yet one day I felt Michael presence more than usual while I was outside and all the dogs started barking at me, but honestly it felt like they were barking at something behind me. This is all. I know this is not very scary story because of the fact that he mostly spend his time cuddling me. I feel lucky to have a ghost-cuddle buddy/ bodyguard? I think I am lucky. Everyone have a nice day. And remember Mr/Miss/non-bynary reader of this message: "you are amazing and you are doing your best. ive always believed in ghosts but i still want to share my experiences, both of these stories happened after my grandma passed away and i was in the 2nd grade, the first one involved my tablet which i had gotten as a birthday present (my birthday was 4 days after my grandma's death), me and my family were sitting in my grandma's room and i was on my tablet, my tablet started acting up and it started going into random apps and kinda acting like how a phone would act when a droplet of water would touch it, but there wasnt water anywhere near me and my hands were dry, i even put my tablet down thinking that would help but even while i was not touching it, it was still acting up, i decided to run to my grandpa's room and that's when it stopped and my tablet went back to normal. Everytime i told my family about it they would just laugh, but I really think that was my grandma trying to say something, if i wasn't a scared little kid at that time then i wouldve waited to see what she would do. this next thing happened also near my grandma's death, probably 2 weeks after. Me, my sister and my mom were in my mom's room. my sister and I were jumping on her bed and making jokes and just laughing while my mom was probably doing her hair or something when suddenly the door to my mom's room was knocked on, but it wasn't normal knocking, it was like banging and you could see that the door was being very harshly banged on because it kinda moved like someone was harshly banging and trying to get in. me and my sister were really scared and we jus kept saying "mommy, mommy" so our mom could do something. my mom laughed and said "its probably just grandpa" and then it kinda made sense cuz my grandpa would sometimes knock on the door as a joke, but he would never bang on it. my sister and i were still scared so my mom took us to our grandpa to find out what just happened but when we got to his room he was calmly watching tv while laying in his bed, when we asked him if he knocked on the door he said no and said that he also heard the banging but thought it was just my sister and i playing around. we never found out what happened but i do believe it was some paranormal shit going on.

i do have another story but this happened to my mom before i was born, in the year that i was born my uncle passed away (my mom's brother) and a few days after he had passed away my mom and her sister were in my mom's room when randomly 1 of my sister's toys started singing, but the song that the toy was singing was the lullaby that my mom always sang to my sister, my mom and my aunt searched for the box that the toy was bought in. when they found it they saw that, that lullaby was not one of the songs that it was able to sing. so they do believe that was kinda like a 'goodbye' from their brother. im actually named after my uncle and a lot of people say that he would've loved me (and i always tend to appreciate that since he seemed like a cool dude, wish i could've met him)

10:03 i had a similar ghost cat story to this, my family found a very sick and overall unhealthy stray cat. We never took it inside or adopted it, but we’d make little cardboard houses in our front yard for the cat to stay at. he was very dirty, his fur was extremely tangled and rough, the very few glances we’d see inside his mouth, he had no teeth, and some of his gums where even blacked out. Our dad refused to take him to the vet. I’m sure he had many other diseases and issues with himself. But one day we found him on the street with a large dent on his head, we assume someone ran him over, only then we took him to the vet, and they put him down. A few months later, i was walking down my hallway, and i watched a cat walk across the room, it was so quick i couldn’t even tell what breed it was. I turned the corner. And no cat was there (i had a cat in my home so at first i thought it was him) and then i kept searching around, and my cat was taking a nap across the house. I brought it up in conversation, and my sister said she had seen the exact same thing. i miss the stray cat alot.

On the cat one - we had a cat named Luna that we adopted over a decade go. She was a mama cat who had kittens before we got her, after being found behind a dumpster by a woman and her dogs. Luna was a sweetheart and loved to sleep on the end of my bed. She also let me put my head on her belly and listen to her purr, like a warm, soft, fuzzy pillow. Unfortunately, she had to be put down while I was away over the summer, due to a medical issue. I was eighteen at the time, but that's another story. The night I got back, I laid down on my bed, started falling asleep, and heard a familiar trilling noise from my door, which woke me up. Next thing I knew, I felt a weight settling around my feet. I'm almost completely sure this was real, because it happened for another six months following her passing and my return. Her little spirit kept me company while I was grieving her loss, and left when I was mentally sound enough to be all right on my own. In life, she always knew when I was upset and would make the same trill/purr at me to comfort me, it was really sweet. I had previous experiences as a child, but didn't believe them because I was a skeptic at the time. The one that sticks with me most was when I was visiting my siblings and, in the middle of the night, heard heavy footsteps like someone large was pacing the halls. Now, mom was out on a night shift, she wasn't dating at the time, and we kids were alone in the house. When I asked my sister about it, she went pale and whispered that she heard it too. She also told me that, sometimes, she'd feel like someone was watching her. But, since we were kids, we brushed it off and went on with our lives.

We rented a house once...the landlord told us that if anything funny happens, just ignore it. I shrugged it off, thinking nothing of it. Turns out we were "stuck" in that house for over 8 years. 8 years of ignoring the obvious. I was never so glad to finally get away from a place in my entire life. Even now, I get the chills when I think of it.

STORY 1- Some kids who speak that way can see stuff that you can’t see, I myself had spiritual encounters with ‘ghosts’ and still continue to see some every now and then but it’s rare, however in some cases like these you might wanna take what a child says in consideration if you too yourself start experience some ‘chills’

When I was about 13 years old, I was alone in my room. The window was fully opened and the door leaning shut. Suddenly, I felt a gust of wind, heard a male voices heavy breathing and than my door cracked open and with another wind chill all was over. In this order. No one believed me and it never happened again. It sounded like whatever this was ran away from something. Anyway, From this day on, I do believe in ghosts.

Love the Kitty Story. I'm so lucky that my two babies are healthy! I've had to put down a 6 Cats through my life since they all had problems and I couldn't let them be in that kind of pain. Just buried one about a Month ago, She was such a sweet kitty- my Mother's though, but we were still close. One of my Baby Cats now is 15- a model Cat if you ask me, a beautiful gray tuxedo with a bright pink nose that looks out of place and the softest Kitty I've ever pet- She's my Love-Cat, just a big sweet-heart that couldn't defend herself to save her life, She was originally abandoned by her owners at about 2 so I rescued her- I went looking for a Kitten that Day but the Kittens just couldn't compete with her! My other is a 5 Year old Torty- She's a mega-clinger, She's a permanent Kitten and strikes me as being a Cartoon Character, mega-playful, gets super hyper, but can also super-cuddly, She's my little clinger- found her all wet in the rain eating out of a Pizza Shoppe dumpster- as soon as I picked her up- love at first sight, I even remember just being like 'GAWD DAM IT!' since I really didn't want another Cat- I knew there was just no choice though, She was mine instantly. Cats are so great

One time there was a white butterfly in our backyard and me and my sister pointed it out to my mom. She told us how if you see a butterfly it means someone in your family who has died was thinking of you. My sister called out to our uncle Don (who died 2 months earlier I think) and sure enough the butterfly came right back to her. This became a cycle of the butterfly about to leave but coming back to swarm us and only us when we called out to our uncle Don. Is it true? Idk but now I know that he is definitely in a better world…

Back in July of last year I was relaxing in my bedroom, I was in a pitch-blast, zero sound environment, where I had blackout curtains on my window, fully covering it, and making sure there's no light entering my room, same with the crack under my door, kept a towel on it. One night, I saw a ghostly apparition on my ceiling that would stay located in the same part of my ceiling. It was a white projection, very faint, hard to see. You'd have to stare at that spot for several seconds before it could slowly reveal itself, and when I put my hand in front of it, the spot would persist, seemingly "through" my hand too. *The craziest part about this story* is the following day, I first discovered the 'my ghost friend' animated series by dsand, and bob gives off strong 'me' vibes.

We got a dog when I was in 5th grade, a sweet little corgi that we named Ursa. She lived for a very long time, all the way up to 18 or so. At this point, I had long moved out, and my parents were taking care of her. At the end, she was in a lot of pain. She was incontinent and basically curled up on herself. For her sake, I made my dad agree to let her rest. (My mom felt the same way as me, but my dad was protesting adamantly.) I knew the day that it was going to happen, but I didn't know when it was going to happen. My parents didn't even give me a timeframe, I just figured it had to be some point in the afternoon. I got home and started crying hysterically. I lit a candle and talked to my dog. I couldn't stop sobbing. Then, all of a sudden, I felt immediately comforted. My tears dried up almost instantaneously, and I felt at peace. In the back of my mind, I remembered how my mom had mentioned that she'd once felt a gentle touch and calmness right before getting the phonecall that her brother had passed, so I clicked on my phone and noted the time. It was 2:00. I got something to eat and did some self care, and my mom texted me at around 4 or 5 that Ursa was at peace. I asked her what time Ursa had passed, deliberately not giving the time I'd had on my phone. My mom said that my dad had been keeping a close eye on his watch, and she'd passed away at 2:00. Part of me was shocked, but a part of me also felt like I already knew. There are other things I can attribute that feeling to, yes. But, given the circumstances, I like to think that Ursa came almost 300 miles to soothe my heart and say goodbye. I hope I can see her again someday.

My grandmother worked for a company as a cleaner. She was always cleaning at night/early morning before the workers arrived. There was a huge metal staircase leading to the breakroom. She would frequently hear heavy footsteps up and down from that staircase, and after that the breakroom would smell of cigarettes. There is no one there when she is working and there are no people who smoke at that company. Sometime later she casually mentioned it to her employer and he told the story about an employee who would always arrive early,go to the breakroom and smoke a cigarette before anyone arrived. He sadly died in a car crash years ago.

Ugh the cat one. Lost one of mine last Summer. He got sick and went in a matter of weeks. We spoiled him as much as we could to make him as comfortable as possible until it was time to let him go. He was eating, drinking and using the litter-box until the very evening before the morning we had the euthanasia appointment. He went on his own only hours before the Vet was planning to come by. I still see him sometimes in the corner of my eyes in spots where he liked to sit. Or I see a little shadow whisk by. He liked to come by my desk to say hi multiple times a day, but because he wasn’t a talker, I would just feel him staring at me, say hi, some neck scratches and he’d leave. I would feel this same sensation of being stared at for months after he died. It was probably just my brain being used to something. Or me making very conscious memories because I knew he was leaving us. We have his little urn and a paw print and I haven’t been able to get rid of his favorite toys. Each of our cats have their own toys. They don’t share. His are still in a little pile where I always put them when I clean. I just can’t part with them (yet).

About 2 or 3 years after my grandpa died me and my best friend were messing around in my grandpas old shed and us being teenagers and knew nothing about power tools. We were working on something cant quite remember what, but we had a sander that was plugged into the wall that we were using. This particular tool had like a duel saftey where you had to hold down a switch then pull a trigger to use it. Anyway it wasnt doing the job so me and him sat it down still plugged in and we were talking about how we were going to smooth this corner out. I remember saying "just want to say fuck it and use the sawzall? we aint got any metal blades cutting blades so wed have to use the wood cutting blades." we both agreed hoping the saw would take some time out of the project. We get the saw out and right as we go to pull the trigger on the sawzall the sander that was on the table just snaps on and with it being on vibrates itself off the table and onto the floor. Me and my best friend look at each other in shock and he gos to grab it and turn it off. Neither of us could have touched it because he was keeping the metal tubing steady while i was cutting. He puts up the sander and just says "Alright (my grandpas name) point taken that was a bad plan." That thoroughly freaked the both of us out, Enough to go back to the sander and quickly pack up the sawzall.

I'm sure this is just that phenomenon like when you get a new car and then see "your" car everywhere. My brother's name is Parker and he intentionally left us in 2022. Now every show I watch, Story I read, or even my new coworkers kid's name. The name Parker seems to pop up everywhere. I noticed it happening more last year, but I was probably too far in my grief to notice if it had happened before then. As kids in the 90's, Parker wasn't that popular a name, and though I've definitely noticed a rise in the name Parker, it feels like its literally everywhere now. I miss you bud and I'm sorry you felt the need to leave. I truly hope you're finally happy.

When my granddaughter was 2 she told her mother that man is sad, pointing to the picture window. My daughter finally asked why he was sad. My granddaughter said it was because he was dead and no one knew. They lived in a small apartment complex with 7 units shaped like an L. She lived in an end and the next day she saw many police and EMT at the corner apartment. The man who lived there had been dead for 4 days. Was found during a well care check after his nephew in another state couldn't reach him.

Story 14 reminded me of something that happened a few months ago. My dad and I drove my dog cross county (America so multiple days) when we moved because she would probably die of a heart attack if she got on a plane, and I bonded with her so much during that trip that she sleeps in my room now. Anyways, I’m laying in bed at like 12am trying to sleep when I feel a wave of cold. I almost dismiss it- not that strange, I get insanely cold a lot. But then my precious, force of nature old lady BARKS. She doesn’t do that in the middle of the night, obviously. So anyways I wear a rosary around my neck (wrap it around my wrist when I’m sleeping)and now all my sleep paralysis events have stopped! Even if it’s correlation and not causation, it’s still correlating! 😁

Several years ago we lived in a rental house. I often heard noises... on more than one occasion I would hear the sound of something metallic falling coming from the bathroom... but when I would go check it out there would be nothing I could find that would make the noise and nothing out of place... I once heard a male voice say my name when I was home alone, but the weirdest thing was one night after the kids were all in bed, my husband and I had turned all the lights off and went to bed... soon after the bedroom door flew open and a dark shadow figure ran in and out of the room super fast.... at first we thought it might have been our son, but when I went to check on him he was in bed sound asleep. My mom also would tell of a time when she was little and the dogs knocked her off the porch in front of her house. A man then came from around the corner of the house, picked her up and put her back on the porch, then walked away. She told her dad what happened and described the man, to which he responded that was impossible, as she had described his father who passed away about six years before my mom was born.

I have pretty much always believed in the paranormal, but I have a few stories that backs up my beliefs. Latest one is from today. So my great grandmother passed away 2 months ago at the age of 101 years old. Me and my whole family was devestated, and we're still sad, missing her, but we know it was her time to go. Today I am with my dad, step mother and grandmother at my grandmother's house, and we're going to celebrate christmas together tomorrow. We all feel a little weird about it since it's the first christmas for any of us spent without my great grandma. But earlier today, when dad was out shopping, my step mother vaccuming the house, and my grandmother out on the veranda, I see something in the corner of my eye. I saw the sillouette of a hunched over little woman by the door to the veranda. I look over, thinking it was grandma, but nope, no one is there. But in that exact moment as I look over, I see my grandmother's rollator rolling away about half a meter, then coming to a stop. It’s stood inside the house, near the veranda door where I had seen the sillouette. The door was closed and there was no breeze. As I was writing this, I could see the sillouette further down the hallway in grandma's house, going towards my great grandmother's bedroom (I'm sleeping there tonight btw). So yeah, I believe in ghosts/spirits, and I believe we won't be spending christmas without my great grandmother this year :)

I grew up in a town that had a bunch of older buildings and had lived there until relatively recently, so once i started working third shift, i would sometimes take walks at night on my days off. It was a relatively warm night in the middle of summer and i decided to take a walk one night. Walking past one of the older buildings in town that had a widows walk, when i had this sudden inkling to look up to the widows walk, and my eyes bugged out, because i saw a woman wearing 19th century clothing on the widows walk, just looking straight ahead, didnt notice me, didnt move an inch. Now this occurred at approximately 11 pm in a small town where everyone was at home either asleep or relaxing, so noone was essentially on the street, so theres NO WAY that someone would have been dressing up that late at night, that was the first time id come across something paranormal

To the second story, it's believed that people can see their loved ones after their passing. My mom experienced something like this with her chihuahua, she was very upset when he passed away, but even before we had been given his ashes, she could see and even hear him when she went to bed. They say that if you have a good connection with someone, their spirit will stay connected with you for a short time to say goodbye and that's exactly what our chihuahua did. She would see him sleeping beside her in bed in the middle of the night and even hear him. (I'm only speaking as an enthusiast not an expert, btw. I do research this stuff and watch all kinds of paranormal videos)

I now believe spirits linger for a while. First, my rabbit then my dog dies within a month and I just still felt them walking in the room after me so I’d hold the door open for a while. Then my friend took me to this cool town and we went to a psychic and who told me these two spirits were following me around knowing I wasn’t ready to let them go and a few weeks later I started to feel peace and stopped feeling the need to hold the door open. Then my grandma used to love this face wash I showed her and once it got discontinued she would travel all around trying to find it (it wasn’t in production anymore but she was getting a little foggy in the mind and stopped driving soon after). I got pregnant and a he got cancer a week after I found out and died not long after. One day after my son was born after no one had used the shower in 12+ hours I heard a bang and when I went to investigate and the bottle of cleanser with just a tiny drop in it was on the bottom of the shower all the way on the other side. Honestly the thud was unreasonably loud, I felt like she was coming to check on me and felt better, and that was it. Vague and inconclusive but these both gave me comfort and I appreciate anyone who read 🩷

I’ve had many of these kinds of experiences throughout my life and since this comments section is sharing a lot of that I might as well share my stories and see what folks think! Firstly, several weeks ago I had a conversation with my grandparents that piqued my interest. According to my grandmother at some point years ago when I was young my grandfather went to one of those spirit mediums because he felt he needed to get his spiritual energy sorted out or whatever. Keep in mind my belief in this stuff hardly goes that deep, I believe in God and in ghosts but “spiritual energy” as distinct from prayer and the soul…that far is a bit too far for me! (Albeit no shame on those who do believe in such things by any means) From what I’ve been told, among other things this medium started talking about me. As far as I’m aware I was not whatsoever brought up in this stuff up to that point, until the medium herself mentioned me. Supposedly she discerned that I’m an “indigo child” which upon further research seems to indicate that I’m supposed to be more receptive to spiritual stuff? This is the latest part of the entire set of stories but frames the rest of it properly. I’ve always felt watched by things in most homes at night, for as long as I can definitively remember. Even in the daytime sometimes if I’m completely alone, but only sometimes. The unshakable feeling that something is there. Sometimes if I’m alone in my own home I’ll feel that something dark is either upstairs or downstairs from me and that I shouldn’t pass by the hallway that looks towards the stairwell on the main floor. That something bad is watching me. I’ve begun to feel a presence may be following me or possibly that I’m just sensing presences in others’ homes that they’re not aware of. A lot of dark presences though which makes me really nervous at night sometimes. I’ve also had much lighter-tone experiences of course. Namely, my great-grandmother passed away a few years back. Now, I grew up with this woman. She played a major role in my childhood and I saw her almost every day for a time. She and I were close until she was moved to a nursing home further from me and I couldn’t get up to see her often. (Was still in middle/high school at the time so had to be family trips though despite this I still deeply regret not being up there as often as I feel I should have for someone who was so important to me) Of all the people in the family I didn’t cry much about her passing. I rarely shed tears at all except in protracted extreme circumstances so I kinda just withdrew for awhile to contemplate her passing on my own. A few nights after her death I had a dream in which she was just kinda there, exactly how I remembered her in her better days, and she and I (and my family) spent a day together. I woke up feeling a lot better after that. To this day I’m convinced she came by to give me a special goodbye to help me move on. As a kicker letters were found after her passing that were written around the time I was born that said how excited she was to see me and whatnot so I do wonder if I was her favorite great-grandchild, or maybe I and my sister because we saw her most often. My sister has since said as well that she was visited (this being somewhere close to two years post-passing when my sister had the experience) so I do wonder if she’s just checking in from time to time! Still love her dearly for all that time we spent coloring. (: And she always loved the University of Notre Dame after a cousin of my mother’s got in. I attend there now so I can only hope I’m making her proud! 🥲 (Go Irish to any of my fellow Notre Dame folks in the comments!) So yeah, don’t know what to make of it all but take it from a guy who’s said to be more sensitive to this stuff, it’s a mixed bag of pluses and minuses but it sure is interesting! Oh, and be safe out there and don’t use Ouija boards, they’re supposed to open portals for bad stuff so I for one will never use one.

When I was younger I stayed at my cousins house in a small town in Connecticut. Her older brother (we’ll call him Peter) used to joke before that this part of town was an Indian reservation and that the house was haunted . We just thought it was him trying to scare all of us. 6 of us that is . At night I woke up around 3am and I heard what sounded like plastic being stepped on or knocked on. It was pretty loud and scared tf out of me . I woke up my cousin that was a year older than me (well call her Katie) and she was half asleep but I told her what I was hearing and she snapped out of it and said she heard it too . We stayed sitting up for a sec and was like let’s go investigate . Pretty stupid of us but we were kids. We went to the kitchen and it was louder and louder and we noticed all the room doors were open. We went to Peters room the brother who I mentioned earlier. He had all the new toys in his room . It was Christmas a few days before but we all came that weekend to open up the ones for extended family meaning us . We noticed one of the dolls boxes moving like their was a rat or something moving it rocking back and forth at a pretty fast rate . We were so scared and in shock again we just stood and watched . We watched Peter laying there who was dead asleep and no way in hell was he the one moving the box. We decided to go closer to it and both the dolls arms were stuck up against the plastic like it wanted to escape. We just looked at each other and it just fell forward on its own . We screamed and ran back to the living room where all of us were . We held each other to sleep that night and told the grown ups and other kids in the morning who said we were making it up . They went to grab the doll and the doll had it’s arms back down as if nothing ever happened. I inspected the box and it was still taped in it’s original tape nothing torn open nothing broken . We never talked about it again up until a few years ago . I’m 30 now . I mentioned it to her and was like maybe I’m crazy for asking and she was like no you’re not because I remember it exactly the same way . If it wasn’t for her I woulda thought my mind was just making up memories. I have always had ghost experiences growing up but that particular one was super scary

Growing up I had a lot of strange occurrences happen at my mom's house no matter how many times we moved (they flipped houses).. When I was a young adult in college they moved to my new town and I stayed with them to save on money. It was so odd, that familiar heavy dread filled the house again and this time everyone, including my bf, had something paranormal happen to them. It felt validating since no one really believed me as a kid, haha. On my own now and never had that feeling nor anything paranormal happen, and oh man it feels like a huge relief. I'll share one of the creepiest ones I had when I was about 20, I was laying under the covers of my bed and suddenly felt 3 fingers like a hand run down my belly over the blanket.. yeaaah that one sucked xD

Remember: even though there is little evidence ghosts are real, there is equally little evidence they are _not_ real. This also applies to extra terrestrials, gods, souls, etc. Because of the vastness of the universe, the only possible answers to the question: "do they exist?" are "Yes" or "Unknown." We will _never_ be able to say "No, they do not exist."

The burden of proof is on the claim not the rejection. If I think that there are unicorns there is no evidence for or against it. This is an unfalsifiable claim. I cannot disprove it as if I look everywhere on earth you can say that its somewhere else like mars or they can turn invisible. None of these claims have any proof nor do they have anything that can be disproved. Ghost are like this they can never be disproved.

We have motion detecting lights in the hallway that turn on when someone moves. You can see them from the bedroom and from the living room but it can't detect movements from so far away. They frequently turn on in the evening/night when everyone’s sitting on the couch together watching a movie or when everyone’s in bed already. In the morning I usually wake up alone and my parents are out, but only then I can hear snoring beside me, even after I’m fully awake, brushing my teeth and washing my face, I can still hear the snoring coming from my room. Also, when someone in the video mentioned the thing that looked like “light bending around the lamp”, that reminded me of one time in my room at night when there was some strange floating light too, going around the mirrors.

10:55 Okay, I can believe that one. Got a cat when I was 4 years old, he was a big boy when he grew up, easily about 1.5x the size of an average cat. When he died 17 years later, I could swear... every night for about a year, I'd feel the bed by my feet depress in the same tight ball he'd curl up in. I hope he's still following me in some way.

My bf and I were just chatting about specifically naughty things and his moms new present (to be specific as to what it was, it was Freddy Krueger lights that would light up and sing) went off randomly, it was still in the box too, we literally got freaked out so bad and we just assumed it was his dead grandparents scolding us for our inappropriate conversations. It literally has never turned on on its own since that day

Once when I was 6 or 7 I was going to a summer camp when I went to the washroom and the lights turned off I then heard the door slam shut and I heard scratching on the wall. When the lights turned back on the walls were covered in scratches and I hid under a table for the rest of the day.

i dont believe in ghosts but whenever i hear something about ghosts i have to mention this: i think ghosts are leftover energy / sounds from people / animals whatever, think of it as a ripple on water if you throw a rock into it, and that explains only old houses being haunted but after a certain point it eventually goes away hence why there isnt ghosts of dinosaurs, it explains most of the experiences here besides for the death ones, this is even less based on science but i think that there could be a field that connects consciousness and they are connected somehow

I had the same experience with my cat. The night he went missing I was searching in the rain for a few hours. Got home and laid in bed and I could feel something jump up onto the bed and climb onto my back, just like he used to do all the time.

I woke up in i think midnight once and heard echoing footsteps (idk how you spell that lol). I thought my mom was gonna come check up on me but the footsteps just kept getting louder and louder. (the footsteps sounded like someone with high heels btw) I don't know why i didn't think of the fact that my house doesn't have any echo at all but then i closed my eyes and it stopped. I still can't explain it to this day and this definetely helped me believe that ghosts are real. edit: I just heard something fell and i'm home alone, yep i definetely believe in ghosts now.

Ok I have quite a few ghost experiences, here’s a few Both my mom and dads houses are haunted. At my moms there is the silhouette of a man that appears in the hallway every night, despite no one being there to cast it. Made me scared to sleep in my room until my mom told me that he’s been there ever since she was a kid. At my dads house I was flossing my teeth in the bathroom. Out of the corner of my eye I look in the mirror and see a tall Hispanic man standing behind me for a brief moment. Dad didn’t believe me until he did some digging. The houses previous owners were a Hispanic couple that moved away after their son drowned in the pool behind the house…

I’ve had so many paranormal experiences I can’t even list them all here. But I’ve had lights turn on and off on their own, also lights sometimes flicker, various objects move on their own, toys that make sounds go off on their own (in another room I’m not even in), seen shadows out of the corner of my eye, and even right in front of me. Also I’ve had objects disappear and reappear in places I never put them (once my phone ended up in the recycling) and my iPad disappeared once and I watched the “find my iPhone” app show the iPad was across town, in an area I’d never been before, and then it reappeared in an area I definitely checked multiple times (my bathroom counter, which is small, and it was very obvious that it wasn’t there before). I’ve also had different doors lock on their own. (Mostly my bedroom door when I’ve snuck out into the kitchen to get myself a midnight snack. I guess my ghost wants me to stick to my diet lol). Oh, I’ve also felt like someone was watching me while I was trying to sleep. I also felt someone kiss me on the head and squeeze my hand while I was waking up, which I believed to be my partner, but when I opened my eyes, nobody was there. That really scared me because I swear it felt like someone really was touching me and kissed me. So creepy. All these various experiences have happened in the last 6 years in the same apartment.

Even tho I always believed in the paranormal, I never had any first-hand experiences until a couple months after moving in here....now it's common occurrence, like right now my invisible room mate has been moving around upstairs and rattling the hallway closet door handle. It does t phase me one bit.

I've got so many stories that if I were to write down every one, we'd be here for half an hour, so I'll just write down a few of the main ones. 1: At the ages from 9-12, I've seen a bloodstained woman either standing at the foot of my bed, or crouched down next to my bed next to my bedside table. 2: In the same house from the first part, I, my mom, my dad, and my sisters all noticed electronics switching on and off on their own, doors opening and closing on their own, and things going missing from where we last placed them. 3: I was home alone, being sick from school (same house and time period), and noticed something off in my sisters bedroom by their stuffed toys. I'm trying to make out what exactly I'm staring at, and I see this set of hair. It then flips backward at an impossible angle and I see a womans face with pitch black eyes staring at me. It then started crawling at me like in the movie Mama, the only difference was that this happened about two years before the movie released so it wasn't just my imagination from a movie I was too young to watch. 4: My mom and dad witnessed the middle sisters hair being pulled by something that wasn't there. 5: My youngest sister being around 6 at the time, starts sprinting around the house and giggling at 2AM. My parents wake up and my dad gets sent to investigate and as he opens his bedroom door, she stops and stares at him with a wide grin. My dad asks "What are you doing up this late?" and she replies "Daddy, you're chasing me and being funny!" My dad, still half asleep but totally freaked out, just told her "Okay, well the games are over. Go back to bed." 6: Up until today, I still see apparitions occasionally. I also capture EVPs every so often while recording for my own YT channel. Edit: To note, that all of these stories took place in the same house, and my cousin and I both witnessed paranormal stuff that scared us out of the house, and upon leaving, we saw a woman with pitch black eyes staring at us through the window in broad daylight (my parents were out in town at the time)

I have a cat named Corinna and she was an adoption from the local Animal Control place and I haven't had any pets in my house since I moved in back in 2011 and she is clingy at bedtime. She makes sure I'm all tucked in and then jumps down from the bed and gets in her little hutch I made from a box and fluffy blanket. Anyway, a little while back over the summer I'm about to fall asleep and wonder where the cat is, I make the smooch smooch noise and pat the bed to find her and get her up onto the bed. I feel the bed thump down by my feet and the walking across blankets like it feels when Co jumps up. I turn my head and I see Co down in her hutch and she trills at me like she is saying, "what, im over here?" I don't lean up to see whatever it was down by my feet that made the sensation earlier but my brain starts telling me " don't look, it wasn't a cat. Do not look down there.....its Not a cat. " im 52 years old, 6'4" and 330lbs with a beard down to mid-chest. I didn't fall asleep until 3:30am the next morning. Even just thinking about that night and my brain telling me " it's not a cat, do not look at it!!" gives me the willies right now......eeesh.

Lived with an aunt, her and her wife were wiccans and I lived in the basement. The door would always bang even when shut, which I am pretty sure was just from the air in the house as the basement door was right next to the back yard door. Anyways I heard it one night, and it sounded like someone walked down the stairs, so I sat up to turn on the light and ended up face to face with some sort of shadow figure. I quickly laid back down and covered my face with my blanket and just waited there until morning. No one walked back up the stairs, door didn't open, nothing. I was alone in the basement once morning came.

What convinced me? When i was driving down the road today in my Mercedes, which has had is front passenger window stuck halfway down for a year (its old its a 2002) and i dont keep anything in it, i live in the desert it basically never rains, so no prob. But this morning was kinda cold and my passenger says she's a bit cold from the window but shes been in the car before so no biggie. JUST as she says the word 'cold" the window ROLLS UP BY ITSELF...................seriously. And if that's not enough, in my failed attempts over a year to fix it i have left all the electronics to it disconnected, and the window toggle on the console isn't there, so there's no switch and no power to the door, just a hole in my console the size of that button, and it's been that way forever, like really forever my cig ashes get in it all the time and have to be vacuummed out at the car wash. OK then. This just happened TODAY like 12 /7/23

Okay! So, I lived in an apartment and we had a cleaner ghost. It cleaned. It cleaned the windows, our room, and in ways that drove my mom crazy because all the stuff would be out of place. Me and my sister didn’t know why she did it, but she just cleaned up. There was another time the van we were in stalled out on a one way road and a huge semi was coming in quick. My mom was freaking out and saw a young boy in the backseat, we don’t have a brother. The kid said nothing and pointed at the semi on the other side of the one way and our van magically came to life again.

When I was a kid maybe 13,14 yrs old. I remember myself, younger brother and Dad were watching a movie in my Parents room in the appartment we lived in. I clearly remember the front door being closed and locked. This was around the time my Dad bought a life sized Chucky doll at the time. We all like horror films so we all thought it was cool to have. Anyways while watching the movie and eating popcorn we all heard the front door slam hard and lock again. My Dad knew that wasn't possible and we all looked at each other in confusion. My Dad got up with a bat to check it out and crept up slowly to see if anyone came in and while entering the living room he saw the Chucky doll for a split second sit down on the couch and saw it's leg move right as it finished sitting and caught some movement from it's legs right as it went into ragdoll mode. What makes this worse is we had the appartment cleaned and everything put away. We had a bin where we used to put larger items away like basketballs or some gear away. That's where the doll was put away before we started the movie. My Dad grabbed the Chucky doll immediately and cut it up into pieces and threw it away in the dumpster😮

I am still kind of a skeptic but I have one experience regarding my dead cat. She died of a tapeworm infestation and had a severe cold dying where she would breathe like water had filled her little lungs, and we had to put her down because at that point she had become a vegetable. Anyways so maybe the day after her euthanasia I was writing about her in my diary to remember her and it was winter and everything was quiet when suddenly I heard quiet ragged breathing. It shocked me because that sounded exactly like her breathing during her last moments. I ignored it though and continued writing when I heard it again. I looked under my bed to check if any other kitten was under there and nope, no one. I heard that like 4-5 times till it stopped. Edit: if anyone asks how this got so bad, she wasn't even a year old and my parents were financially struggling at that time so there was hardly medicine for us much less my pets. My dad did pay for the painless euthanasia so that's good.

I had some paranormal activities on my holiday (it was a place in the middle of the woods, the houses were log cabins in not the best shape), the 1st night mom called me and my parner to the window bc she saw a shadow figure standing there for the last 10 minutes and wanted to know if she was just imaginaning it but we saw it as well, at first she though it was just some homeless person which still was weird as it was just standing in the woods staring at us but we just ignored it, the 2nd night we didnt see anything but the 3rd night at like 3 am the lights started to flicker and then went off, then in the day we went into abandonent building (Im not sure what it was but it was some catholic place for children as there were many croses, papers with catholic rules on them and many childrens' drawings) at first everything was alright except some cold feelings and stuff but the second time we went there things got weird, first the big wooden cross that was in one room got turned upside down even tho we only went out for a few minutes and there was no one else around, other things were normal until we reached the basement, when we started going down the stairs the flashlight flickered and then tunred off but we were able to turn it back on, when we went into the basement itself everyone felt a weird feeling and at the exact moment I pointed the flashlight at the door to another basement room it went off and wouldnt turn on again and I started feeling rly cold, we went outside n didnt come back since it was a clear "I dont want you here" sign from the ghost. that night the electricity also went off and in the morning my partner's dad scolded us for staying up late even though we went to sleep at midnight and said we were laughing and knocking on the closet door in our room after 2 am and well it certiainly wasnt us. the rest of the stay was pretty peacfull but yea weird experience lol

While I have always believed in ghost, my grandpa Ferry, is a funny ghost story I have to tell. When he was alive, he liked to go dumpster diving and would come home smelling weird but not too bad and always wore a straw cowboy hat with an older style jingle bell on it that doesn't sound like the new ones do. He also HATED lights being on even if you were coming right back to that room 30 seconds later and would always turn them off. When I was like 10 or 12, I had (6?) hamsters (we couldn't have more than two dogs). One day I was changing the Hamster water bottles while home alone. I had a bottle in either hand, filled them up in the bathroom and left. I come back with two more water bottles, the lights off. I'm too short to reach it with my shoulders and the switch itself is too high and far from the doorway to reach without using your hand. I put one down, turn it back on. I figure "Maybe I turned it off." and fill the bottles up, attach it to the cages and go back into the bathroom with two feeding bowls I need to clean before I put more food into them. The lights off again. I turn it back on, go back into my room to put more fresh food in and the light goes off right behind me. I think I'm seeing things, go grab more bowls to clean out and guess what? The light is off! This time I clean the bowls, put my back against the door with clean bowls in either hand and the light turn off again! I enter my room and smell that weird smell he always smelled of and hear that jingle of that specific hats bell. I know who it is now. I loudly but calmly say "Dang it ferry, I love you but I'm going back in the bathroom again. I will turn the light off when I'm done with it. Please stop turning it off" very politely. The light stops turning off. He still comes back, usually at night when I know for a fact everyone if asleep aside from me and check if the lights are on. If there are light on, he turns them off or when I'm home alone and I forget to turn a light off.

My parents told me when I was around 3 years old I had an imaginary friend. I described her as tall, slender, long very long black hair, a little wet hair, white gown. Her name was Samantha. Yup, I basically described Samara from the ring... the movie was released in 2002 and this must've been happening form 2008 to 2009 sooo... I mean I didn't watch the ring as a two year old 😂 I kinda really wish time travels were a thing because I'd honestly love to see myself with my "friend" 😂

I am a fence sitter on the question of whether or not ghosts are real. On one hand it COULD all be in our imaginations. But on the other hand, there are enough truly baffling incidents that are just so difficult to explain that I would rather veer on the safe side. Because, on the chance that ghosts are real, I would rather not be that person in horror movies that gets killed because they were overly skeptical about spooky happenings. I will not enter an allegedly haunted place unless I have no choice. Conversely, even if ghosts are not real, I would still stay away. Because, sometimes, superstitious tales use made-up things to deter us from a mundane danger. So if a place is said to be haunted and/or cursed, there is also a reasonable chance that there is a mundane danger that justifies using the tale as a deterrence. So whether it is mundane danger, or actual paranormal danger, it is best to try to avoid haunted/cursed places as much as possible. I think the biggest example I can think of is the Valley of the Headless Men in Canada. It COULD just be tall tales... But given how many disappearances have occurred there and dead bodies found there, even if it is not some supernatural horror causing the shit that happened and still happens there, then there is at the very least a very real mundane danger or dangers that are causing the incident. So whether it is mundane or paranormal, that place is obviously incredibly dangerous. Either way, whether it is paranormal danger or mundane danger, the point is moot as all you need to know is that SOMETHING is causing deaths and disappearances there.

Not really sure of this counts but I still want to share. My most paranormal experience happened and a beach hotel, the rooms were nice compared to the entrance and main lobby. It was kinda creepy. Everything was really old even though this happened last summer. The room me and my brother had to sleep in was old hotel compared to the modern style of the rest of the room. On the first night I was to uncomfortable to sleep in that room. I don’t know why I’ve slept in oldish rooms before. Me and my brother went around “ghost hunting”. My brother showed me images of balls of light near the ground as if someone had fallen from a higher level. It was a nice hotel in general but it was still creepy

i'd say if you experience something by yourself, you're maybe tripping, like the first guy finding the platypus. But if one or more people experience the exact same thing, especially at the exact same time, and you can confirm it with them on the spot, then that's way more convincing.

I grew up with one in the house. Didn’t know this was strange until I was ten. Then there was the night when my mother and I heard and I seen something. Guest was staying in guest bedroom upstairs. It was dark and all lights out. Tiniest bit of light from a streetlight. My room sort of looked towards the stairs and at the top some white molding trim. We both heard screen and outer back door, shed to house door, across the house, up the stairs and something occluded the white trim. Then the stiff fitting guest room door open and shut and something sit down on the bed. Next morning nobody in the room, bed was still made. Not imagined if two of us had the same story. I was five. I found out there was an actual name for such a phenomenon but other than it starts with a P.

Only had one haunting experience once, I was probably around 8 to 10 years old when this happened, it was at about 6 to 8 PM, I'm playing on my iPad, my dad is in the same room as me, my brother is in the room beside our room and my mom is sleeping in the living room, there's a good distance between our living room and bedroom, I'd say it's about 5 to 7 meters away, then I randomly got a video call from my mother, I answered it obviously, but there's just.. nothing else in the video, it's just a blank view, only ceiling and walls of our house that's captured in the back phone camera, I don't remember if it's me or she that hangs it up, then the video call is targeted at my brother, he said the same thing to me and then the last one is my dad, same thing, we're all very confused and decided to check on her, she's still asleep in the living room since the afternoon saving energy for midnight works, and her phone is still at the same place, charging and untouched, now people might think oh it's just my mom fooling around, the thing is she never did that. We woke her up to tell what just happened, we can clearly tell she's just woken up after we woke her up because she looks tired and sleepy, she then checks the call history and it's just me, my brother, and my dad that's been called, however all of our contact is very far away from each other, just us, not even any other person in her hundreds of saved contacts. Years later she would still retell this story to me and it kind of made me uncomfortable

I lived in a house next to a cemetery for a year, I was in my early 20s. It was a rather large and nice house. Big bedrooms, wood floors, kept a good temperature year round. Anyway, a couple times a month I'd hear the sound of a dog walking by my bedroom door, no one was home and we didn't own any pets... and if you know the sound of dog nails on wooden flooring, you know it's a rather unique sound. But the experience that made me believe in ghosts, happened when I was 8 or so. I lived in a house in the middle of the woods in Pennsylvania. I laid on my bed watching tv in the middle of the day when all of a sudden I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. When I turned to look there was this girl about my age standing in the doorway. She had long dirty-blonde hair, wore a white dress, and had a crown of flowers atop her head.

I lived in an appartment where a lot of weird stuff happened. One time, I was reading and looked up to see a face inches from mine, then it was gone. Months later, I had anew roommate who moved in suddenly. One night, we're watching a movie, and he freaks out saying he looked over to the kitchen and saw a face. I gave him paper to draw what he saw, and went into another room to draw the face I had seen and had never told anyone about. We compaired pictures, and same face. Later, we moved and were at a gas station. We over heard the clerk talking about the weird stuff in her appartment, and seeing a face. We asked, and same appartment. Got her to draw the face, same face. Old man, skin dry and wrinkled till it looks like tree bark. Wide eyes with prominant bags. Long thining grey hair, and a wide grin with an uneven cupids bow

I don’t know if this is a ghost experience or if my cousin just lied to me or if the flashlight just turned on automatically for some reason, but when I was 11-12 I was watching over my cousins cats with my family and other cousins, I had watched a video saying that you can use a flashlight to talk to ghosts, and since me and my cousin was bored we decided to test it just for fun, so we asked questions but nothing happened, so she left and I was alone in the room, so I used my phone but then I realized that the flashlight was on so I took it and went to ask my cousin if she turned it on, but she said she didn’t and thought that it was me who turned it on, kinda suspicious if you ask me, but as I said I don’t know if this was a ghost experience or if she just lied or if the flashlight just somehow turned on of itself
