The OST during Bertholdt transformation is so amazing and fit the entire scene perfectly, “Steady we ride” as Bertholdt uses his ODM gear to ascend into the sky, “Watching scenes playing out from our past” as Bertholdt turns his head to look at his former comrades one last time, “Like the smell of her hair, Those times always flyby so fast” Referring to Annie as Bertholdt transform and passes the point of no return, “...Should we just let it all fade, is it just time?” as Bertholdt descend and hit the ground wiping out everything around him. This scene and Bertholdt inner monologue before and through the scene told the story from his side in just one minute, truly amazing.

Bertolt finally coming into his own was amazing for his character. To see him going from being meek to taking charge was nice. Also, "Perfect Game" hits different. It completely destroyed me. And Erwin's side. And the scouts. The Beast Titan decimated everybody.

Next episode is fucking badass! One of the best episode in the series. Fun fact: AOT S3 episode 16 “Perfect Game” and episode 17 “Hero” are number 2 and 3 on IMDB’s “Highest Rated TV Episode” list. Hero being 2 and Perfect Game being 3, Hero was 1 with a perfect 10/10 for a long time after it first aired as well. I’m so glad that I’m alive and here for AOT since it’s one of the best things I’ve EVER watched.

I don't think I've ever felt so much stress from an episode of anything before! The Chief just casually shooting down all the houses and people on one side, The Colossal Titan just being impossible to get to and flinching Eren off like an annoying dog and the Armored Titan coming back. As Lupa said "Yep we're all gonna die. But, you know, we tried something" . The situation seemed completely impossible to get out of.

Part of the reason berts transformation explosion is so big is one the heat he produces, and two he purposely goes high into the air so when he lands the shockwave he creates when his titan hits the ground sends the heat further causing more destruction.
